Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
A phrase commonly used by Christian. In this case I'm going to fill you in with a bit of information. The following are big events for the WWE in the month of April:
Wrestlemania 25 - Apr. 5, 2009
The grandest stage of them all. Wrestlemania is the biggest annual wrestling event. It's a huge draw-in, enough said.
Raw - Apr. 6, 2009
The episode of Raw after Wrestlemania. New feuds being drawn, the Wrestlemania aftermath taking effect, and a huge atmosphere setting up as the Draft Lottery approaches. All wrestling fans alike will be tuning in for this episode of Raw.
WWE Draft Lottery (RAW) - Apr. 13, 2009
Another big draw-in. Superstars moving to different shows, brands changing, and overall a significant improvement in the WWE's product. One of the more anticipated events throughout the year.
Backlash - Apr. 26, 2009
The follow-up pay-per-view of Wrestlemania. Backlash may not be the best annual specticle (In terms of product), but it is still an entertaining pay-per-view. When you factor in the draft it becomes an entertaining event.
Product Significance
As showed above, the WWE has a month of draw-ins. If they were planning to raise ratings improving their product would be a significant move. For months at a time Smackdown, Raw, and ECW have been lackluster.
A month of draw-ins would mean a ton of work for the creative team as well as management. A move that would probably be appreciated later on in the year.
If there is a time to capitalize, it would be right about now. Improving their product should be at the top of the "To Do," list.
Lack of Hype
Lately there's been a lack of hype within the WWE. This could be blamed on the dying economy, but either way nothing is being done. Now that they have things to work with hype should be renewed. As I've said numerous times throughout the article, this is the month to take action.
Closing Thoughts
With a good marketing plan, a fresh attitude, and a new attempt at creativity the WWE could emphasize their current ratings by significantly beating it. April is the month of momentum. Now they have to take control.
