What To Expect From The Mets In 2009

Baseball season is around the corner and the Mets are in town, baby!!! If you are a STUPID Phillie fan, get this straight, THE PHILLIES WONT WIN ANOTHER CHAPMPIONSHIP! So kids brag all you want about the 2008 WS Champions because they won`t win again. The Mets are in town and better than ever.

During the 2009 free agent market, the Phillies have done very little in comparison to the Mets. The Mets have been active all offseason and even made another move yesterday.

Gary Sheffield was signed by the NY Mets yesterday and it was rumored that the Phillies were interested and the players even lobbyed him. But it came about that Sheffield wanted to come to a team who would win the WS in 2009, so he chose the Mets.

Further more the Phillies couldn`t afford to pay Sheffiled 400k. Ha Ha. Through the offseason, the Mets got the best closer in baseball, Frankie Rodriguez and get this K-Rod will always be better than Brad Lidge. The Mets also got JJ Putz form the Mariners. So thats a better combination than Scott Eyre and Brad Lidge.

The Mets have a better fifth starter than the Phils Chan Hoe Park, oh I`m sorry Ho Park. And can someone make this clear? SANTANA IS 1000000000x better than COLE HAMELS!

Now lets go to offense. Jimmy Rollins is not better than Jose Reyes, Papa Feliz is not better than David Wright, and Shane Victorino is not better than Carlos Beltran! So lets see some proof.....

AL East: Yankees
AL Central: Royals (the surprise/feel good story of the year)
AL West: Angels 
Wild Card: Red Sox

NL East: Mets
NL Central: Cubs
Nl West: Diamondbacks
Wild Card: Dodgers

Yankees over Red Sox in the American League Championship Series

The Mets over the Yankees in seven for World Championship
