Seven-Game Road Trip Reveals Los Angeles Lakers' Achillies Heel
Brought to you by the guys at www.Lakers101.com.
The Lakeshow just finished their longest end-of-season trip ever with a 5-2 mark.
Successful right?
Well, sort of.
I am trying to keep in mind that while the opponents were not that tough, the schedule itself was—two sets of back-to-backs, and seven games in 12 nights.
Clearly, our offense was woeful and seems to be in a funk—missed layups, weak cuts, lazy passes, bad shot selection, lack of ball movement. You name it, we are doing it wrong.
However, the real issue has become big runs—and it seems to be happening at an alarming rate
Even in games we won, we allowed teams to go on monster runs. If not for huge runs of our own, we would probably find ourselves more than two games behind Cleveland.
How much longer can we keep this bad trend up and hope to win? It certainly will not work in the playoffs.
To see how we have given up big runs in nine of the past 12 games, go to Lakers101.com.
