Kurt Angle's WWE Return Looks More and More Likely by the Day!

Joe Burgett Apr 3, 2009

Back in Dec. 2008 there was a rumor going around that Kurt Angle was not happy with TNA at all. Now rumors say that he was only saying this because of the rivalry he was having and still is having with Jeff Jarrett.

Many figured that when he did interviews they were in character and he had to talk about hating his role in TNA. Of course, much of that was fabricated. But it was easy for Angle to say, as it was the truth somewhat.

Angle has been unhappy in TNA ever since he lost his TNA World Title. Not because of the gold, but because he was not having good storylines.

Jarrett felt he could do a good job with Angle in a storyline and that would keep him happy. He could make him the leader of the Main Event Mafia and have a nice role as the No. 1 Heel in the company.

The fact is that Angle liked it, but still is unhappy with TNA and knows that once these storylines end, since they cannot go on forever, he will be unhappy again.

Which I can understan.

The WWE is very interested in getting Angle back, and are offering him a nice contract. It would be a bit more than what TNA is paying him and he would get a similar role in the WWE that he has in TNA.

Possibly, he could get a World Title or two out of it.

They are also rumored to be offering him a light schedule like that of Shawn Michaels or the Undertaker.

Those close to Angle say that he will leave in the spring when his TNA deal expires unless something changes with TNA.

While TNA has gotten better, they still cannot compete with the WWE.

Vince McMahon has said in the past he would take Kurt back if he wanted to come back. He told him that when he left and still means it.

Now, Angle has said some negative things towards the WWE. But, really, many wrestlers both past and present have had some kind of negative story.

Mick Foley, who is a WWE Legend has said he has had problems with the WWE. Yet he is still on good terms with Vince. Not his best friend, but still.

Kevin Nash has complained about certain things and was hanging out with WWE Superstars last year at Wrestlemania, as it was in the Orlando area where TNA Impact is shot.

You could not count on your fingers and toes, as well as your friends' fingers and toes, how many current and former wrestlers of the WWE have said negative things toward it.

So Angle's little comments were nothing; half of it was overblown to begin with.

I see Angle coming back to the WWE probably in June or July. Maybe in the fall if it takes that long to get a deal for him.

That is if he decides to go, and according to those close to him, it looks likely.

Maybe it's just me, but since Angle will be 41, I think he would love the schedule, money, and success the WWE would offer him. And he would be dumb to pass it up.
