The Season Ends in Disappointment

The Florida Gators lost to Penn State, 71-62. They didn't find the D they were looking for, and they missed out on the trip to NYC. The loss meant the end to Walter Hodge's career.

The Gators could have used Vernon Macklin.

The Penn State loss came after beating Miami. It was a rivalry renewed.

Billy Donovan said the Gators 'overachieved' as the season was winding down.  Does anyone believe that?

Allan Chaney was suspended. No reason was given. I'm on the record multiple times as a Chaney fan, so I hope it works out.

Billy Donovan is not going to Kentucky. After he turned them down the last time, and gave up on the NBA, it was apparent he'll be in Gainesville for a long, long time. And he's already been the 'Dean of SEC Coaches' (cheers!) for a while now.

Was Donovan to Memphis ever a possibility?

Has Billy Donovan turned Florida into a 'mecca for white players'?  The number of white players on Final Four teams is declining.

Kenny Boynton starred at the McDonald's All-American game.  Is he the beginning of another rebuilding processin Gainesville?  He is ready to take on Gainesville.

Allan Chaney- and his mom- are hoping he can stay in Gainesville for his career, despite the late season suspension.

Florida and Notre Dame could play each other in Tampa.

Should Florida and Miami play more often?  It's not likely.

Walter Hodge will head to Spain now that his Florida Gator playing days are over.
