The Florida Gators lost to Penn State, 71-62. They didn't find the D they were looking for, and they missed out on the trip to NYC. The loss meant the end to Walter Hodge's career.
The Gators could have used Vernon Macklin.

Billy Donovan said the Gators 'overachieved' as the season was winding down. Does anyone believe that?
Allan Chaney was suspended. No reason was given. I'm on the record multiple times as a Chaney fan, so I hope it works out.
Billy Donovan
Billy Donovan is not going to Kentucky. After he turned them down the last time, and gave up on the NBA, it was apparent he'll be in Gainesville for a long, long time. And he's already been the 'Dean of SEC Coaches' (cheers!) for a while now.
Was Donovan to Memphis ever a possibility?
