The Indianapolis Colts saw major improvements on all sides of the ball this past season.  After having the worst record in the NFL at 2-14, they quickly turned it around through the draft and free agency, going 11-5 the next year.

The offense improved thanks to some great draft picks, including Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton.  The defense had some new faces as well, including Vontae Davis and Jerrell Freeman.  While the special teams didn't really have any new faces, they were still able to make some big plays.

With the offseason beginning for the Colts, there is a lot of open cap space for the team.  The team will look to re-sign some of their talent, and maybe even begin looking at some quality free agents.

With players coming and going, there is one player the Colts fans are hoping will re-sign with the team.

Pat McAfee.

Also known as "The Boomstick," McAfee has been a fan favorite for quite some time.  Punters have been popular players in the state of Indiana for a while.  Hunter Smith, the former punter for the Colts, was celebrated around town for not only being a good punter, but also being the third-string quarterback.

McAfee has become a favorite in Indy thanks to his loyal twitter following.  Just his twitter handle, @PatMcAfeeShow, shows that fans are in for some interesting and entertaining tweets.  Whether it's giving money to someone in need during the Holidays, giving away tickets for the games at Lucas Oil Stadium or simply just saying something funny, his 94,000+ followers enjoy every minute of it.

Besides just tweeting, McAfee is also a really good punter.  He averaged over 48 yards per punt this season, the highest mark of his career.  He was also impressive at pinning opponents deep in their own territory, getting 35.6 percent of his punts inside the 20 yard line.

McAfee's most memorable punt of the year against the Tennessee Titans in Week 14.  He was able to have a perfect coffin-corner punt, somehow putting the Titans inside their own 1-yard line.

The Colts need to re-sign Pat Mcafee.  His contract won't be one that is super high, but he still deserves to be paid.  He has been a great punter for the Colts, and has been a great part of the Indianapolis community.
