Jason Campbell Fires Back…Or Not
ESPN980, who refused to stop talking about Jay Cutler coming to the Redskins because they had the inside scoop on the insanity of Daniel Snyder, had Jason Campbell on the Locker Room today to talk about his feelings towards the rumors.
In sum, Campbell said everything that you thought he would. He has a chip on his shoulder, he plays for his teammates and coaches, and understands its a business.
But he also said that he had yet to speak with Daniel Snyder or Vinny Cerrato, and made some very poignant statements about having played in three different offensive systems in the last three years, and that most great quarterbacks are developed. Most telling, when asked if he felt wanted, he acknowledged that he did feel wanted by his teammates and coaches.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
For Campbell, that’s quite a zinger.
You’ve seen the numbers. They are practically identical between Campbell and Cutler. If it wasn’t the Redskins and you weren’t used to their maniacal pursuit of jersey and box seat sales, you’d think this was the most ridiculous rumor in the NFL today. Bottom line, Campbell can succeed, no matter how many calls for Cutler or Colt Brennan arise from the peanut gallery. And for a guy who’s embraced the City of Washington D.C. as much as he has, it will certainly be hard to let him go.
