Of Course the Washington Redskins Are Going to Get Jay Cutler

Why wouldn’t the Washington Redskins get Jay Cutler? Is there anything in their recent history that suggests otherwise?

Two No. 1 picks? HA! You think that’s a trade deterrent? The Redskins prefer it.

Making Jason Campbell uncomfortable with trade rumors? Please. The kid’s got ice in his veins. A consummate professional. A starter, even.

And it’s likely that none of that will matter. It didn’t matter when they got rid of Champ Bailey, it didn’t matter when they brought in countless other veterans that were short on talent and big on name.

The difference with Cutler is that his has youth and talent on his side, but its not a question of his ability, as much as it is the Redskins wanting it simply because it is available.

And if there’s anything the past teaches us about the Redskins, coveting and collecting talent isn’t all it takes to be a successful football team.
