MLB 2009 Predictions. The Kings Will Be in Queens.

Here are the rest of my picks for the 2009 season.

Before I bring forth my magical, mystical, total guaranteed (just kidding) picks, just remind yourself that SI picked the Tigers to win it all in 2008. They based it on Miguel Cabrera, Dontrelle Willis, Ivan Rodriguez. A slew of stars the Tigers picked up to make there lineup look like the 21st century version of Murderers Row. They did not come close, finishing in forth place.

Things just don't turn out the way you see it on paper. The "what ifs" and "if this" are all over the blogs and editorials to let everyone know they know it all.

OK, here I go. A drum roll please.

NL East: Mets-Braves-Phillies-Marlins-Nationals

NL Central: Cubs-Cardinals-Reds-Brewers-Astros

NL West: Dodgers-Giants-D-Backs-Padres-Rockies

Wild card: Cardinals

NL Pennant: New York Mets

Al East: Red Sox-Rays-Yankees-Jays-Orioles

Al Central: Twins-White Sox-Indians-Tigers-Royals

Al West: Rangers-Angels-Mariners-Athletics

Wild card: Rays

AL Pennant:Red Sox

World Series: Mets defeat Red Sox in six games
