Where's the Love for Andre Iguodala? Well, He's About To Get Some
Andre Iguodala is one of the best in the game. There. I said it.
I'm also going to go as far as saying he is up there among the league's best, such as LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.
So why is it that Iggy isn't getting the love he deserves? Why isn't he getting the same superstar attention that Dwayne Wade and Dwight Howard get?
Well, the answer is quite simple: I have no idea.
Iggy's season started off really slow, mostly credited to the acquisition of Elton Brand.
However, since Brand went down against the Wizards on Dec. 19, Iggy has been tearing it up.
He has been averaging 21 PPG since Brand's season ended, as opposed to his sub-par 14.4 PPG. He's also averaging six rebounds and just over five assists a game.
Only James averages at least 18.5 PPG with at least six rebounds and five assists a game.
Now why does that not grab anyone's attention?
Now let me throw some more stats at you.
Andre is also way up there on the defensive end, averaging 1.64 steals per game. Other notable players on that list? Try James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Paul.
Now tell me, why hasn't Iggy been getting any attention this year?
Maybe because people don't want to give him the attention he deserves.
Or maybe people simply don't like him. Either way, Andre has been putting up All-Star numbers with superstar productivity that has been going under the radar for way too long.
Now, that "Don't give Iggy the respect and attention he deserves" idea has been officially ended.
It's about time Iggy got some love.
