Chelsea Transfer Rumors: Latest Targets for the Blues

Chelsea has been all over transfer rumors recently. Here are some of the latest transfer rumors involving the Blues. 

Marouane Fellaini

One of Chelsea's main targets is Marouane Fellaini, a 25-year-old midfielder who is currently playing for Everton. In his time with Everton, he's netted 29 goals in 155 appearances, with nine goals already this season. 

Fellaini would be a huge improvement to Chelsea's midfield, especially after the injury to Oriol Romeu and the expected departure of Frank Lampard this summer. 

The Belgian midfielder has been called "unplayable" by other players (via The Daily Mirror). Fellaini's great offensive and defensive skills would do wonders for Chelsea's midfield issues, especially when Lampard leaves. 

Chelsea officials are reportedly especially excited about the idea of Fellaini playing alongside Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard. 

According to the report, acquiring Fellaini would cost Chelsea £22 million. 

Benat

Benat is another solution that Chelsea is exploring for their ailing midfield. Benat is a playmaking midfielder who is currently under contract with Real Betis.

According to the Daily Star, Betis has already declined an £8 million bid for the 25-year-old. 

This season, Benat has found the net four times in 16 games and has used his exceptional playmaking abilities to tally five assists. 

Benat’s release clause in his contract is said to be somewhere around £16 million and could be huge for the future of Chelsea. 

Taison

There have been reports that Chelsea had already agreed on a deal to bring Brazilian infielder Taison to the Blues. 

However, the Daily Mail now reports that Taison has returned to Brazil and his “dream move” to Chelsea may not happen.

According to the report, the attacking midfielder has to be moved to Chelsea by January 10 or else he will stay with Metalist.
