AJ McCarron's Shock at Girlfriend's Fame Encapsulates Night for Katherine Webb

If you want a reaction that perfectly captures the rise in fame of Katherine Webb, you can't do much better than what AJ McCarron offered in the moments after he helped Alabama take down Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship Game. 

As many outlets reported on Monday night, Brent Musburger was quite smitten with Webb, who is McCarron's girlfriend, as well as a former Miss Alabama and an Auburn grad. 

The moment was pretty much the biggest thing taken away from a game wherein Alabama cruised to victory. 

The perfect storm of Musburger's thoughts, a game that was hardly competitive and a lovely young lady standing in support of her boyfriend seemed to resonate with the nation. 

It had to have, because nearly everyone out there followed her on Twitter. 

This video is one of a reporter relaying to a victorious McCarron that the night wasn't merely great for him, but for the woman he is dating. 

The young quarterback is astonished to hear that in the span of a ballgame, his girlfriend now has over 100,000 followers, and some rather famous ones, too. 

As of this writing, she now has over 185,000 followers which trumps McCarron's 118,000 followers. In some respects, the woman who was merely watching the game is more famous than the guy who was leading the charge to a title. 

Somewhere, McCarron is still in complete disbelief.
