Redskins Fan Unable to Contain Playoff Giddiness, Destroys Christmas Tree

I hope you are happy, Washington Redskins, because a perfectly good Christmas tree was annihilated all because you finally decided to head to the playoffs. 

A tip of the hat to Deadspin for spotting an ingenious way of disposing of holiday cheer while also celebrating a playoff bid. 

The YouTube description doesn't give us much, merely offering, "'if the redskins make the playoffs, i'm going to tackle the christmas tree!' -dad."

I think we can all agree that tree is no doubt on its last leg anyway, being more fire hazard than show of holiday goodwill anyway. 

It's just about time to throw that Douglas out onto the curb anyway, so you might as well use it as a springboard to playoff exuberance. 

On Sunday night, the Washington Redskins took down their rival Dallas Cowboys thanks to an interception-happy Tony Romo. 

It seems dear ol' dad really wanted to make sure his Redskins got over on Sunday night and made a promise to the football gods. 

He certainly made good on it as he stage dives his own Christmas tree at the end of a 28-18 win over the Cowboys. 

Something tells me all of Redskins nation is fairly excited right about now.
