My Predictions for WrestleMania 25

Jessy MorrisMar 27, 2009

The WWE will present their biggest show of the year in about one week, WrestleMania 25. I have to say that I am extremely excited about it and can't wait to watch it. What I'm most interested about, is the great matches that are lined up for the WWE fans.

I think the card for WrestleMania is really good and it should be an exciting night. With April 5 coming soon and being a wrestling fan for 20 years now, I love to predict the outcome of the matches before the show and this is actually the first year that I can do it here on Bleacher Report, so here we go.

Tag Team titles Unification match: Primo & Carlito vs The Miz & John Morrison

I'm actually very interested by this match because I think that these two teams can have a great match together. So much is on the line since both the World Tag Team titles and the WWE Tag Team titles are on the line and the winners leave Houston with all the gold.

Both teams have had one-on-one matches against each other in the past weeks and actually had very good matches. I honestly would of loved it more if the match would have been a normal tag match and not a lumberjack, but hopefully it won't hurt the performance these four men put on.

I think The Miz and John Morrison is a better tag team with a brighter future than the Colon brothers. With that said, I think the huge opportunity of being the unified tag team champions in the WWE will go to Miz and Morrison.

Prediction: The Miz and John Morrison

Intercontinental title: JBL vs Rey Mysterio

These two guys have fought several times in the past and have had good matches. Rey Mysterio missed the last two WrestleMania shows so I'm very happy to see him in action this year.

I don't see this match going on for very long, my heart is 100 percent with Rey but JBL just recently won the title from CM Punk, and WrestleMania is in his hometown of Texas, so I don't like Rey's chances.

Prediction: JBL

Chris Jericho vs. The WWE Legends

Wow, this match changed a lot in the past month. First, it was supposed to be Jericho vs. Rourke, then rumors said that Jericho would battle Steve Austin; and even Jericho vs Jerry Lawler was a possibility.

Finally, it came down to Chris Jericho vs Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat.

Nobody is expecting a five star match here, right? With Ric Flair at ringside and Rourke in the audience, the match should still end up being entertaining. Expect Ric Flair to get involved and Mickey Rourke to interfere in the match one way or the other.

Jericho could wipe the floor with all three of those legends when he wants, but this is WrestleMania and he is fighting legends so...

Prediction: WWE Legends

25 Divas Battle Royal to crown Miss WrestleMania

I'm not a huge fan of Divas wrestling because most of the time, I think those matches are boring. I'm actually very happy that this year, the Divas match will be a Battle Royal because it may get interesting.

I like the concept and am very happy that former WWE Divas will compete. It's hard to predict a winner when you're not sure who will compete in it, but if a certain former Canadian Diva who held the Women's title eight times competes, my money is on her.

Prediction: Trish Stratus

Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Like the past four years now, we know this will be a good match. Shelton Benjamin has competed in three Money In The Bank matches so far, the man who competed in the most. Kane, Finlay, MVP and Christian have all competed in this match at least one time.

Kofi Kingston and Mark Henry will compete in this concept for the first time and CM Punk is the only one of the bunch to actually win the match.

High risk, broken bodies, holy shits, these are all things you can expect from this match. Picking a winner is very complicated with so much talent in a single match.

Mark Henry probably wont make it past the third step of the ladder in the whole match, Kingston does not deserve it yet, Finlay will never become a main eventer again, Benjamin is great but something is holding him back as far as main event status, Kane has been held down for 10 years now, and CM Punk won it last year.

That leaves two names: MVP and Christian. MVP is a very talented wrestler who deserves to get his big break. Christian could go on to Raw or Smackdown and feud with the top names for the World title.

You know what, forget about all that, I'm going with a crazy prediction for a crazy match, Benjamin just lost the US title, let's give him his shot.

Prediction: Shelton Benjamin

Extreme Rules Match: Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy

It seems the WWE wants to keep the suspense for WrestleMania because the brothers barely touched each other since the Royal Rumble. We know this match will get extreme and should be good.

Whatever happens, I see this rivalry going on for several months. Jeff is looking out for revenge and think that WrestleMania 25 will be his night, but Matt Hardy will get his shot at redemption after WrestleMania.

Prediction: Jeff Hardy

Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker

It's safe to say that this is the main event for a lot of people. Undertaker and Shawn Michaels are future Hall of Famers who have been around for 20 years and have left a path of greatness behind them.

Shawn Michaels may be known as Mr. WrestleMania, but he's going up against a man who has never lost a single match at WrestleMania. Many greats have tried, only to lose in the end. Undertaker is just unbeatable on the grandest stage of them all. These two guys will still put on a show that could be remembered for ever.

Prediction: The Undertaker

World Heavyweight title match: Edge vs. John Cena vs. Big Show

This will be a very interesting match and I see a possibility of all three men leaving WrestleMania as the champ. I actually like all three guys, so I really don't know who I'll vote for. Big Show is due to become a world champion and to win a match against Cena and Edge would be a career defining win for him.

Edge is the ultimate opportunist and to say that he won't have a plan up his sleeves, is not knowing him very well.

I see the Big Show and Edge feuding for several months following WrestleMania, probably over the cursed love of Vickie Guerrero. I don't think a rivalry between the two needs the World Heavyweight title.

I think John Cena will become the champion again and pass on to more important stuff than fighting for Vickie's love.

Prediction: John Cena

WWE Championship match: Triple H vs. Randy Orton

When I first heard that these two superstars could be locking horns at WrestleMania, I was disappointed. Yes, I really was, because every year at WrestleMania, I'm expecting the main event to blow me out of my seat because of how great I think it will be.

Randy Orton and Triple H have feuded so many times in the past, in Evolution, in DX vs Rated RKO, in the last rivalry where Orton broke his collar bone, so enough is enough. Well no, I was not interested in this match when it was announced but the storyline between the two is nearly perfect.

I honestly can't wait to see these two guys beat the life out of each other after what happened in the past weeks. Randy Orton has been put over in so many ways, I see this rivalry continuing on after WrestleMania.

I see the Legend Killer winning the title.

Prediction: Randy Orton

Whatever happens, the show should be great, I hope you make your own predictions. I just can't wait for WrestleMania 25.
