2012 Fantasy Football: Waiver-Wire Advice for NFL Week 17
There were some unusual heroes this week. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.
Toby Gerhart, RB, Minnesota Vikings
Gerhart ran for 31 yards and a touchdown. He added a five-yard catch. Adrian Peterson is still chasing history, so Gerhart won’t get meaningful touches in Week 17.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Ryan Grant, RB, Green Bay Packers
Grant ran for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also had a 34-yard catch. He was the work horse against the Tennessee Titans and should see plenty of carries against the Minnesota Vikings this week. If you’re in a pinch, he is a solid fill-in.
Ruling: Get ‘em.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Bernard Pierce, RB, Baltimore Ravens
Pierce ran for 123 yards. He got extra work in because the Ravens pounded the New York Giants.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Greg Little, WR, Cleveland Browns
Little caught six of seven targets for 58 yards and a touchdown. He has had three solid weeks in a row. Unfortunately, he wraps the season up against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Josh Morgan, WR, Washington Redskins
Morgan caught two of his five targets for 21 yards and a score. He added a seven-yard run. Pierre Garcon is the only Redskins receiver that provides consistent production.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Jordan Shipley, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Shipley caught five of 10 targets for 82 yards. He was playing the Patriots, who can’t stop the pass. This is not typical production.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Lance Kendricks, TE, St. Louis Rams
Kendricks caught four of five targets for 119 yards and a touchdown. It was his second straight game with a score. I don’t like him in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
