The final stretch run of the regular season is here, and the playoff race in the East is heating up.

It seems that the teams that get the healthiest the quickest should be able to survive and advance when the second season begins in about a month. We have updates this morning on four prominent names and their injury status.

We start at the top, where Cavs center Ben Wallace has been sidelined with a broken leg for a few weeks now.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Wallace could return as early as this Friday, however, it is not certain he will come back and resume starting. Coach Mike Brown would not confirm that Wallace will jump back into the starting lineup, and one cannot blame him.

The Cavs have played a much different style of ball since Big Ben went down, and bringing Wallace off the bench may be able to help them in certain situations or against certain teams.

Another team that is battered and bruised is the Pistons.

Three of their biggest stars, Richard Hamilton, Allen Iverson, and Rasheed Wallace, are sidelined currently, and their team is desperately trying to hold on to a playoff spot.

Hamilton, who has an injured groin, and Wallace, who has a calf strain, could be back as soon as this weekend, according to MLive.com, however, the return of The Answer may be longer.

If you are really dying to see A.I, we do know one place where you can check him out this weekend. Iverson, along with Rasheed Wallace, will be hosting a party this Friday night in Washington D.C, at Club Love.

Iverson, who parties in D.C during the off season all the time, is still loved around the area, and some thought he could wind up a Wizard next season. He would have to take a severe pay cut, and decide to (once again) play second fiddle, this time to Gilbert Arenas. Don’t hold your breath on that.
