The Leffler Report: Recapping Jason Leffler at Bristol Motor Speedway
The Leffler Report
So far this season, Jason Leffler (driver of the No.38 Great Clips Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Nationwide Series) has had one of his best starts.
Leffler told reporter's, "This is the best start we have had to a season in as long as I can remember. We have always seemed to struggle at California and Las Vegas and then have had to climb our way out of the hole as far as the point standings go.
"This year, we came away with good, solid finishes from both of those tracks and I think we all feel like we got a monkey off our back. It’s nice to be sitting eighth in points after three races and building off of that positive momentum instead of trying to turn things around just three races into the season."
This week, after a two-week hiatus, all of the star's of the Nationwide Series came to "Thunder Valley," "The world's fastest half mile." "The Bristol Bull Ring." whatever you want to call it, Bristol Motor Speedway alway's bring's the best short track racing there is in NASCAR.
Leffler started the weekend off qualifying his Great Clips Toyota in ninth position. After 300 miles around Bristol, he brought his Toyota home with a 10th place.
Leffler battled with the like's of Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, and other Cup driver's for his hard fought 10th place finish. Leffler also sits sixth in the Nationwide Series standings, 202 points behind leader Edwards, and is the second Nationwide only driver in the standings.
Leffler and the Nationwide driver's will take this weekend off before retuning to the Texas Motor Speedway for the O' Rilley 300
