Daily Dose Of Fantasy NBA Playoff Tips

Brandon RibakMar 25, 2009

All throughout the fantasy basketball world, owners are anxiously awaiting for the playoffs to begin.

Yahoo fantasy owners are already experiencing the first round of playoffs, while CBS owners have one final week before they begin.

Whether you need the final win this week to make the playoffs or you have already clinched playoff berth in your division, reading your daily dose of fantasy tips can never hurt....can it?

Jackson done?

It has been reported that Stephen Jackson will end this season short after Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Jackson's left big toe has been a primary concern for the past two years, and he believes it is the time to get it checked out.

While this is horrible news for Jackson owners, there is always a bright side to every injury.

Two words for you: Anthony Randolph.

Go! Go! Go! Pick him up before someone else does in your fantasy league!

Randolph can be a serious fantasy contributor when averaging starter minutes and could really boost any fantasy team in need of another player.

Just take a look at his stats. Randolph has played 24-plus minutes in only nine games this season. In those nine games, Randolph has averaged 13.5 PPG, 8.0 RPG, and 2.5 BPG including three double-doubles.

Clearly the rookie's got game. Now the only question remains is if head coach Don Nelson is willing to give Randolph the playing time to put up those type of numbers.

The Blatche Man

With Caron Butler on the sidelines, Andray Blatche has certainly become a pretty consistent fantasy player during the past five games averaging 12.4 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 1.4 APG, and 1.0 BPG in 26.6 MPG.

If Butler remains out with his ankle injury, Blatche should be picked up in all fantasy leagues as a decent replacement for an everyday injured stater on your squad.

Dooling for fantasy points

Since being placed into the starting line-up for games away, New Jersey Nets Keyon Dooling is averaging 15.8 PPG, 6.5 APG, 3.8 RPG, and 1.0 SPG in 37 MPG.

Dooling has emerged as a number three fantasy guard as of late and should be picked up if still available.

If Devin Harris remains out (as expected), Dooling will be a nice fantasy starter just in time for the playoffs.

Over the Hill?

Being owned in only 71 percent of all CBS sports fantasy leagues definitely raises my eyebrows.

Grant Hill is playing some serious ball as of late averaging 16.0 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 4.0 APG, and 1.4 SPG in 33.2 MPG during his last five games, with two 20-point games in that stretch.

Obviously if Hill is still on the waiver wire, he should have been already been picked up midway through reading this article.

He can be another nice started on any fantasy team going into the playoffs.
