Attention Jay Cutler: Get Out While You Can!

Chad MintonMar 25, 2009

The Cutler-McDaniels saga has reached a whole new chapter that includes new coach Josh McDaniels eating his own words.

He stated in an NFL Network interview that the relationship was now all of the sudden not beyond repair.

This is kind of situation is the last thing Cutler, and the rest of the team, needs during this offseason.

Whenever a coaching change is made in the NFL, it is crucial that the transition is as smooth as possible, and McDaniels has made it bumpier than riding a tricycle over the Rocky Mountains.

Cutler should get out of this mess that is forming in Denver before he wastes a precious year of his career on a disfunctional team.

The Broncos organization has already shown its utter stupidity by firing Mike Shanahan, who took them to two-straight Super Bowls and always put competitive teams on the field.

Instead they hire a coach who has no experience as a head coach, who attacks one of the few valuable assets he has on his offense in Cutler by rumoring to trade him.

The bottom line is, Cutler is getting better and better and the Broncos organization is getting worse and worse. McDaniels obviously realized that, thus flip-flopping and saying "Cutler is our quarterback".

If Cutler stays in Denver, his best case scenario his retaining his starting job but playing for a bad team in a bad division. That spells nothing but an early exit in the playoffs.

Cutler has the talent and mechanics to carry an already good team to the Super Bowl.

The New York Jets are reportedly prepared to go after Cutler if he is released. If this deal were to go down,  both parties would benefit.

Cutler would go to a team that is on the rise and inherit an offense that is more balanced than the Broncos.

With Cutler at quarterback, the Jets would battle the Patriots for the division crown next season.

A new head coach backstabbing Cutler during the offseason could end up being a blessing in disguise for Cutler, and a self-destruction for the Broncos.
