UFC on Fox 5 Results: Live Reaction for Every Fight

UFC on Fox 5 comes to you from Seattle on Saturday with one of the greatest free live fight cards in combat sports history.

The action kicks off at 4:20 p.m. ET with Scott Jorgensen vs. John Albert on Facebook before moving to FX for the six-fight preliminary card at 5 p.m.

When the main card gets under way it will feature three fights and another for the UFC Lightweight Championship. Champion Benson Henderson defends his title for the second time. Challenger Nate Diaz will try to bring gold back to Stockton, Calif.

The exciting fight card gets underway Saturday evening. Be sure to come back for live reactions from every fight.

Round 1

Henderson with a leg kick immediately. And another. Diaz has Henderson against the fence. Henderson spins him around. Diaz attempts to throw Henderson, but that is a no go. Henderson's base is far to strong. Henderson has double underhooks but cannot drag him to the mat. Diaz lands an elbow off the break. Henderson shoots in and gets the takedown. Diaz gives up his back but gets back to his feet. They separate. Leg kick puts Diaz down. Good combination from the champion. Diaz walks Henderson to the fence.

They clinch again at the beginning of round two. Henderson takes Diaz down and lands some good ground and pound. Back to the feet they go. Henderson has Diaz pinned against the fence. Nice elbow by Henderson as they break. Solid body shot by the champion. Big straight left from Henderson. He's turning the pressure up and looking for the finish. Diaz back to his feet. Henderson is controlling this fight. Diaz tosses Henderson over, but is quickly up and out.

Another leg kick to open the third by Henderson. Diaz is just throwing sloppily now as he tries to find a way to get close to Henderson. Takedown from the champion. A brief scramble and they are back to their feet. And that is brief as well as Henderson takes Diaz down again. Diaz nearly sweeps Henderson, but he goes for a leg lock instead. Henderson gets out and has Diaz's back. Fantastic ground exchange. Diaz attacks the leg again. Back to their feet they go. Henderson drops Diaz! What a fight! Diaz rolls for another leg lock. Amazing round.

Round 4

Slower start to the fourth. They clinch and Henderson takes Diaz down. Diaz is up, but Henderson takes him down once again. Henderson's strength on the ground is keeping Diaz from mounting any offense. Diaz threatens with a Kimura, but it is not close. Diaz attacks the leg again, but it is not even close to being in danger.

Round 5

The two clinch and Henderson presses Diaz against the fence. Henderson dumps Diaz to the mat. Henderson is too strong. Henderson starting to pour on ground and pound. Diaz back to his feet with Henderson attached to him. Diaz has to go for broke, but it is tough with someone like Henderson giving you no space. Diaz nearly got top position, but it was Henderson once again coming out on top during the scramble. A head kick by the champion. Five rounds of complete dominance from Henderson. The reign continues.

Henderson defeats Diaz by unanimous decision (50-43, 50-45, 50-45).

Henderson was too big, too strong, too athletic, and just the overall better fighter. Five rounds of dominance from the champion. He took Diaz out of his game and make him fight his fight. That's what champions do. Diaz will have to go to the back of the line and re-evaluate his game. He is still talented and young enough to make another run at the gold.

The lightweight division has numerous challengers, but should Anthony Pettis get the win in his next fight I am sure Henderson would want revenge in a rematch of their thier WEC Championship fight.

Round 1

Gustafsson drops Shogun. Shogun has a leglock, but Gustsafsson escapes. Big knee from Shogun. Back at a distance now. Good takedown from Gustafsson, but after Shogun threatens with a leglock Gustafsson lets him up. Shogun lands a right up and it puts Gustafsson on his back. A lot of big moments in this fight before it even reaches the 2:30 mark. Shogun is trying to close the distance. Good low leg kick by Rua. Gustafsson tries a takedown but Shogun defends.

Round 2

They swing for the fences at the beginning of the second. Good right from Shogun. Another right that is followed by a left. Gustafsson tries to take Shogun down but has to settle for clinching against the fence. That is quickly broken up by the referee. Shogun grabs a hold of Gustafsson, but the Swede uses a brilliant whizzer. Gustafsson gets Shogun on the mat and works from top. Back to their feet. Left and a right connects from Rua. Shogun swings and Gustafsson ducks under to take him down. Shogun gets up and is clinched with Gustafsson against the fence. Another takedown from Gustafsson. Good knee from Gustafsson. And another.

Solid right by Rua. Gustafsson ducks under and takes Rua down. Gustafsson has his back. Shogun rolls for a leg lock but it is defended. They are back to their feet. Body kick by Gustafsson. Another takedown from the Swede. Nice elbow from Gustafsson. They are standing once more. Gustafsson starting to pour it on. Good right from Gustafsson. Rua is tired. One minute left in the fight. Front kick lands by Gustafsson. Gustafsson ends the fight with another takedown.

Gustafsson defeats Rua by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26).

The first round was incredible, but it was soon obvious that Gustafsson was ready to take the next step in the light heavyweight division. Rua got tired and became one dimensional. Gustafsson mixed up his strikes and takedowns well enough to seal the deal. Will Gustafsson sit out until the next title shot? That remains to be seen, and there is another light heavyweight that may have a say in that matter.

Round 1

The crowd is electric for this fight. BJ out quick. Rory lands a knee. Rory presses BJ against the fence. They separate, but quickly are back against the fence. They are back at distance. MacDonald is huge. Nice leg kick from MacDonald. Penn lands a right. A lot of tension in this fight. MacDonald trying to sweep Penn off his feet with a low kick. Nice jab from Penn. Penn shoots in. MacDonald spins BJ around against the fence. Penn bleeding from the mouth. Nice body shot from MacDonald. MacDonald tries a single but abandons it. MacDonald wobbles Penn. Nice counter by Penn.

MacDonald going back to the leg kicks early. MacDonald putting together strong combinations now. Penn is becoming stagnant. Good right from Penn. Strong body kick by MacDonald. Body shot hurts Penn. This is ugly. MacDonald is teeing off on Penn. MacDonald takes Penn down.

Penn looks heartbroken to start the round. Penn being more aggressive, but MacDonald ties him up. MacDonald now has Penn against the fence. A death knell for Penn against larger fighters. After being separated by Herb Dean they find their way back to the fence. Nice right from MacDonald. MacDonald seems content to ride out a decision. He is still throwing, but not to finish. MacDonald keeps trying to walk Penn back to the fence. Good left by MacDonald.

MacDonald defeats Penn by unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27).

MacDonald looked fantastic, and Penn looked like his same old self at welterweight. We can talk about MacDonald's evolution as a fighter, but nothing about this fight was unexpected. Penn still has a strong fanbase, but they can no longer make excuses for the future UFC Hall of Famer.

Round 1

Brown takes the center of the Octagon, and Swick circles around. Brown closes the distance, but neither mand lands. Brown again closes the distance, but this time takes Swick down. Brown trying for a D'arce choke. It is locked up. Swick being patient and trying to survive. Swick is out and on top. Brown gets wrist control and looked for a triangle, but Swick defends again. Brown goes for it again and gets it. Swick is fighting it, and has a bit of space. Swick gets out and goes for a guillotine, but never gets to clasp his hands together. Brown catches Swick on the feet.

Round 2

Brown pressing the action again. He senses that he has the momentum and Swick looks a tad uncomfortable. Swick has Brown pressed against the fence. Thai clinch from Swick, but Brown walks him to the fence. Brown catches Swick and knocks him out cold!

Brown defeats Swick by knockout at 2:31 of the second round.

Brown looked phenomenal again! He is really making a push for more high profile fights. Four wins in a row and increasingly looking better. Swick never looked comfortable and Brown was in his face from the start. Excellent win for Brown.

Round 1

Stephens rushes across with a knee to open the bout, but that was easily avoidable. Edwards going for a takedown. Stephens defends. Stephens tries a haymaker right but it misses. Edwards is cautious of Stephens' big power. Edwards catches Stephens! Follows up and it is all over!

Edwards defeats Stephens by knockout at 1:55 of the first round.

Whoa! Edwards is back! A clean punch finds its mark and the referee lets it go a bit longer while Edwards hammers Stephens with a big elbow on the ground. Huge knockout for Edwards.

Round 1

Both men try spinning kicks early. Good combination from Easton, but they miss. High kick from Assuncao is blocked. Easton changing levels with his punches. Assuncao is happy to counter thus far. Each fighter has tried some power strikes, but they have failed to connect. Both men are being measured in their attempts. Assuncao shoots in, but Easton defends. Close round. Neither man landed that much, but I slight edge will be given to Assuncao.

Round 2

Good low kick by Assuncao. Assuncao misses with a kick and Easton tries to pounce, but Assuncao is out of danger. Nice leg kick by Easton. Easton is wincing. A punch landed right on the eye so there is no stoppage, but Assuncao does not capitalize. Either good sportsmanship or very dumb. They are starting to open up a bit more halfway through the round. Easton catches a low blow and the fight is halted. Close rounds so far, but Easton is the one coming forward. That could play in the mind of the judges. Easton shoots in, and Assuncao defends.

Round 3

Easton presses forward again. Assuncao being very cautious with the lead and is just playing defense. Assuncao goes for a takedown. Easton defends, but Assuncao keeps pressing him against the fence in an attempt to take this fight down. He spins him down, but Easton is right back to his feet. Nice uppercut from Assuncao. Another takedown attempt failed from Assuncao. Easton continues to be the fighter coming forward but with not nearly enough offense. Assuncao tries another takedown, but its success rate is the same as before.

Assuncao defeats Easton by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27).

This fight certainly will not be featured on any "Best Of" compilation, but Assuncao did what he needed to pick up another win in the bantamweight division. Easton was the fighter coming forward, but he did not provide much offense. Similar to how Clay Guida came forward with nothing but movement in his fight against Gray Maynard. Pushing forward is useless without offense behind it. Assuncao played it smart and cautious, and it got him the win.

Round 1

The two lightweights waste no time in exchanging. Nijem rushes in and Proctor grabs a hold of his neck. Proctor is keeping a hold of his head, but does not seem to have it. Nijem gets out and they go right back to having a slugfest. Jumping front kick by Nijem lands and Proctor falls to the mat. Nijem follows him to the ground and tries to finish. Nijem is on his back. Proctor is busted open. Proctor going back to holding on to Nijem's neck. Nijem takes him down. Proctor to his feet and they have a sloppy striking exchange. Proctor tags Nijem and now he is in top control.

Round 2

Proctor lands with a right to open the second. Another left from Proctor lands. Straight right by Nijem lands. Nijem has landed two sloppy rights, but they did land. A right from Proctor finds a home, and now Nijem tries to take the fight to the ground. Nijem gets the fight to the ground and is in Proctor's guard. Proctor gets on top while working a guillotine, but Nijem defends well. Nijem gets up and then takes Proctor down while Proctor commits to holding on to Nijem's neck. Nijem is out, and Proctor starts working a Kimura. Close round.

Round 3

Proctor coming forward, and looks to be the fresher man in the third. Nijem pushes for the takedown, and Proctor tries for an armbar but ends up on bottom. Proctor starts working for a Kimura. Proctor goes for the guillotine again, but Nijem stays on top and gets out. Proctor works back to his feet as Nijem tries to put him back down. Proctor goes for an arm! Nijem defending and gets out. Good grappling late in the fight. The final minute is practically a stalemate on the ground. They separate and exchange as the fight closes.

Nijem defeats Proctor by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).

A solid fight that saw each man have their moments. Proctor went for several submissions, but was only close a couple of times. This allowed Nijem to remain in top control. Nijem got the victory, but this was a very even fight. Neither fighter showed they are ready to make the next step in the division.

Round 1

Martinez comes forward immediately and closes the distance. Martinez was trying for a takedown, but the referee separated them. Martinez again throws wild punches as he wades in to close the distance. Martinez has Cruickshank back against the cage again. Martinez and Cruickshank have another wild exchange. Cruickshank lands a nice body shot, and then clips Martinez. He tries a spinning kick but he misses. Martinez is busted up. Body kick hurts Martinez and Cruickshank is all over Martinez. He covers up, recovers, and fires back. The pace slowed, and then Cruickshank nails Martinez with a head kick that rocks him. Martinez stays upright somehow. They end the round slugging away.

Round 2

Martinez moves forward to open the round. Martinez wants to take this fight down, but Cruickshank continues to stuff him. A straight right from Cruickshank finds a home. Martinez cannot find a way in, and Cruickshank's output has slowed considerably. Head kick KO. Cruickshank ends it out of nowhere.

Cruickshank defeats Martinez by knockout (head kick) at 2:57 of the second round.

The first round was one exciting brawl. The action was a bit slower in the second frame, but Cruickshank put an exclamation mark on his performance with a walk-off head kick KO. That is back-to-back impressive showings from the former The Ultimate Fighter cast member. Martinez will have to take some time off after being on the receiving end of that blow. The UFC on FOX 5 card continues to deliver.

Round 1

LeVesseur immediately shoots in and Trujillo is down. Trujillo quickly gets back to his feet, but LeVesseur is attached to him. LeVessuer is trying to get Trujillo back down, and Trujillo is hitting him with nice elbows to the side. The referee separates them. Trujillo comes forward ad LeVesseur is back to working for the takedown. Another brief takedown by LeVesseur. Nice knees to the thigh by Trujillo. More elbows to the side from Trujillo as LeVesseur continues to go for the takedown. Trujillo threatens with a Kimura. The referee separates them again. Trujillo hits LeVesseur with a big knee. LeVesseur hangs on to Trujillo as the round ends.

Round 2

Trujillo looks much more comfortable standing. Trujillo catches a leg kick and puts LeVesseur down briefly. He goes for a guillotine. LeVesseur spins but Trujillo keeps a hold of the neck. Reminiscent of Ultimo Dragon's Dragon Sleeper. LeVesseur is out, and Trujillo rocks him again. Trujillo on top. LeVesseur gets back to his feet and they break apart. LeVesseur grabs a leg and forces Trujillo against the fence. He is not able to complete a meaningful takedown. Knee to the body by Trujillo and another. Knee after knee. The referee steps in to save LeVesseur.

Trujillo defeats LeVesseur by TKO at 3:56 of the second round.

What a debut by Trujillo. Being able to stop LeVesseur's takedowns was big. Trujillo is a powerful newcomer whose strikes did damage. The knees that landed to the body were brutal and got the stoppage for his first UFC victory.

Round 1

Siver immediately opens up with the leg kicks. Siver is mixing it up well early. The leg kicks are keeping Phan on the outside, and Siver starting to add in punches to the combinations. Siver connects with a right. Siver clips Phan. Straight right from Siver. Spinning back kick lands, but not at full power. Phan comes forward and Siver counters. Siver is putting on a clinic. Phan keeps coming forward, but Siver's striking is making it difficult for him to be effective. Siver shoots in, but Phan defends well. Spinning back kick lands to the body.

Siver gets right back to work going upstairs and back down with his kicks. Phan connects. Siver uses the front kick to back Phan away twice in a row. Siver has missed the spinning back kick twice in this round. Phan doing much better avoiding damage in the second round. Siver takes Phan down. Nice elbow from Siver. Phan is taking a lot of blows from the bottom. Siver is relentless. Siver mounts. After a couple more shots Phan gets back to half guard. Complete dominance from Siver.

Siver mixing it up on the feet, and gets a takedown to boot. Siver peppering Phan with shots in the hopes it will open up a submission opportunity. Siver mounts, but Phan quickly gets back to half-guard. Siver lands shot after shot. Phan cannot get anything offensive going. Siver looks fantastic. Big elbow by Siver. Siver will end the fight in complete control.

Siver defeats Phan by unanimous decision (30-24, 30-25, 30-26)

Siver looked phenomenal. This performance will elevate him to near the top of the division. He has a credible case to be the next challenger at 145 pounds. As for Phan, he was simply not able to mount any offense. Siver's kicks kept him at bay, and on the ground he was completely controlled by the stronger fighter. Three entertaining rounds by Siver.

Round 1

And the night's action is underway. Albert using his boxing to start the fight, and the two are quickly involved in a scramble. Jorgensen is on top. Albert is keeping him in full guard. Albert sweeps Jorgensen and has his back. Jorgensen gets back on top during another scramble. Excellent grappling in the opening round. Jorgensen landing some good elbows. Albert locks in a triangle! Jorgensen is defending well, but it is locked up. Jorgensen postures up a alleviates some of the pressure. He is out and in side control. Albert gets back to guard. More short strikes from top by Jorgensen. Jorgensen gets Albert's back during a scramble with a few seconds remaining. He has the choke! Albert taps!

Jorgensen defeats Albert via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:59 of the first round.

What a fun ground fight that was. Jorgensen's wrestling allowed him to keep top position for most of the fight. Winning the scrambles was key. Albert will be disappointed that he was close to the bell, but Jorgensen's crushing grip was too much. A great way to open the show.
