Real Madrid: Sergio Ramos Spits at Diego Costa During Madrid Derby (Video)
Understatement of the day: Sergio Ramos and Diego Costa do not like each other very much.
Back in February, Ramos elbowed Costa and escaped punishment. This weekend, when Ramos' Real Madrid entertained Costa's Atletico Madrid, both players were ready to resume hostilities.
First, Costa directed a headbutt at Ramos. Admittedly it was more a warning shot across the bow, a love tap from one enemy to another, a gentle reminder of pure hatred. The headbutt can be viewed in the video at this link.

Later, Ramos got even—and then some. The Real Madrid defender was caught on camera spitting at Costa. That clip, which is our Set Piece Video of the Day for this Monday, can be viewed above. Er, enjoy.
In the end, Saturday went well for both Ramos and Real. The defender escaped punishment on the field for the spitting (he was not booked), and Real won the match 2-0 thanks to goals by Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil.
It seems likely, however, that Ramos will face some sort of retroactive punishment on the part of the Spanish football authorities. On this day, though, Ramos got away with it.
But tell us what you think. Should Ramos be banned? If so, how many games should he miss?
Surely a spitball to an opposing striker's face is worth some form of punishment, eh?
