This past Saturday, four new champions were crowned in TNA's (Total Nonstop Action) developmental territory of Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). Three of those four newly crowned champions are members of the IMPACT Wrestling roster.

It was OVW's December Saturday Night Special (their equivalent to a pay-per-view) and the stage was set. Every championship would be contested for on this one night.

Gut Check winner Taeler Hendrix defeated current TNA Knockout referee, Taryn Terrell, in order to become the new OVW Women's Champion.

Hendrix, age 23, is no stranger to championship gold in OVW as this marks her third reign as Women's Champion.

Alex Silva and Sam Shaw, two more Gut Check winners, also became champions this past Saturday. Sharing the common bond of passing their TNA Gut Checks, the two formed an official tag team in OVW.

Referred to as, "Team Gut Check" or "The GutCheckers", Silva and Shaw defeated Rudy Switchblade and TNA's own, "Mr. PEC-Tacular" Jessie Godderz to become OVW Southern Tag Team Champions.

And, in the main event of the evening, "The Welsh Colossus" Rob Terry defeated the reigning OVW Heavyweight Champion, Crimson.

Big Rob has been chasing Crimson for months now and, with this victory, becomes new OVW Heavyweight Champion for the second time.

Multi-time TNA Champion, Douglas Williams, was also in action on OVW's Saturday Special. The in-ring veteran defeated Johnny Spade by disqualification.

OVW TV can be found on their official website, ovwrestling.com.
