Am I Dreaming? Is This Manchester United Collapsing?

What a couple of weeks to be a Liverpool fan.

What a couple of weeks.

It all kicked off with Real Madrid—nine time European Champions—being destroyed 4-0 at Anfield. The Spanish giant's biggest Champions League defeat.

Then a few days later we trot down the East Lancs road and demolish Manchester United 4-1 inflicting their heaviest home defeat in 17 years, with Vidic ("best defender in the world") being sent off.

That defeat sparks a string of entertainingly bizarre comments from Fergie, who was supposed to have beaten Rafa in "mind games" earlier in the season.

While Fergie is spewing forth, Rafa signs a new contract, ending any uncertainty around the club.

And then today. Today was the day Manchester United were to 'respond' as ' that's what Manchester United do' according to Fergie.

Instead they crash to a 2-0 defeat at Fulham—their first defeat there since the week Mary Poppins premiered in 1964! AND they get Scholes & Rooney sent off—more players suspended.

Honestly.... what next?
Is Bill Gates going to buy the club?
Are they going to clone some hybrid of Gerrard-Torres-Carragher?!
Is the global recession going to be revealed as some big hoax?

Of course, in all seriousness, the first thing that has to happen next is Liverpool have to beat Aston Villa tomorrow.

Otherwise, as enjoyable as the last two weeks have been, history will view Manchester Uniteds "collapse" as just a blip that we failed to capitalise on.

Still, I don't remember events as bizarre as this from Manchester United since they lost 6-3 that time to Southampton.
