Panthers vs. Chiefs: Spread Info, Line and Predictions
Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers will visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in what was supposed to be a matchup with serious playoff implications.
Instead, both teams have struggled this season, with the Panthers sitting at 3-8 after beating the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chiefs holding the worst record in the NFL at 1-10.
It's been a rough year for both teams, but now every coach and player has to fight for his job, and a win on Sunday would certainly help.

Spread: Carolina -3 (via Bovada)
As bad as these two teams are, I don't expect this game to be very close.
KC hasn't scored a touchdown in back-to-back weeks, whereas Carolina has scored at least two touchdowns in every game since Week 5.
This Week 13 matchup is going to get ugly, and I'm taking the over here.
Over/Under: 41 (via Bovada)
This, however, is where I'm taking the under.
The Panthers can't put up enough points by themselves to cover, and with Kansas City's offense struggling it would be foolish to think that these two teams can reach 42 points.

Fantasy Big Plays
Carolina QB Cam Newton
Newton had one of his best games against Philadelphia last week, scoring an impressive 37 points, courtesy of a pair of passing and rushing touchdowns.
After scoring four total touchdowns last week, Newton is hot and will look to continue his success against a Chiefs team that will likely struggle to contain his versatility.
In all honesty, Newton is the only player on the Panthers I would consistently start week after week.
Predicted Stats: 27-of-41, 258 passing yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 54 rushing yards (21 points)
Kansas City RB Jamaal Charles
Carolina's run defense is pathetic, and Charles is going to run all over a unit that surrenders 126.2 rushing yards per game.
He's the only player on the Chiefs worth starting in every game, and if you have him you're playing him.
Predicted Stats: 18 carries, 92 yards, 1 TD (15 points)
Key to Victory: Cam Newton's Versatility
Kansas City hasn't had to play a quarterback as versatile as Cam Newton this season. Newton's dual-threat nature and ability to beat you with his arm or with his legs is what makes him special.
Newton is the key to this game, and if he plays well the Panthers will win, but if he struggles KC will pull off the upset.
Prediction
Newton is a tough man to stop, and after dazzling on Monday Night Football last week I can't bet against him, or his Panthers.
Predicted Score: Panthers 27, Chiefs 10
