NFL Playoff Picture: Setting Seed, Berth Odds for Every Team on the Bubble

With the NFL playoffs just a few weeks away, the "who's in" race is beginning to seriously heat up down the stretch.

The Giants were able to fend off their divisional counterparts for another week while the Steelers slipped further into mediocrity without Ben Roethlisberger.

Look for some trends to continue and some to differ down the stretch with each team's seed and berth odds.

Miami Dolphins

Odds of making it: Somewhat unlikely

Potential seed: 6

If the Dolphins do make the playoffs, they'll likely be the sixth seed and would need a Pittsburgh collapse to get into the real thick of things.

While they're only a game back, we're setting the odds at somewhat unlikely because of their lack of experience at key positions.

Cincinnati Bengals

Odds of making it: Highly likely

Potential seed: 5/6

The Bengals are getting hot at the right time and could easily take over the lead in the wild card over the Steelers with the way they've played.

A.J. Green is garnering MVP consideration and needs a great finish to the year to legitimize his own candidacy.

Washington Redskins

Odds of making it: Unlikely

Potential seed: 4

If the Redskins are going to make it this year, they need to topple the New York Giants for the divisional lead.

Betting against the Giants down the stretch is never a smart idea, especially when the defending champions just took down the Green Bay Packers 38-10 on national television.

Minnesota Vikings

Odds of making it: Highly unlikely

Potential seed: 6

The Vikings aren't making the playoffs; their schedule coming up is way too hard for them to do any damage and losing to the Bears this past Sunday didn't help matters any.

It was a nice run for the first part of the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Odds of making it: Likely

Potential seed: 6

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers would have loved to get a win in a close game against Atlanta on Sunday, but couldn't pull out a 24-23 contest.

Angered by the loss, the team could get very hot down the stretch and make serious noise as the playoffs roll around.
