Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Denver Broncos: Preview & Predictions

Josh Zerkle@JoshZerkleChief Writer IIINovember 26, 2012

Tampa Bay might fancy itself a playoff contender. With the regular season running out and the NFC postseason picture solidifying, a trip to Peyton's Place might be a fair litmus test for the team's chances.

Denver (8-3) has seen its postseason upside soar with Peyton Manning under center. Most NFL fans have re-calibrated their mental image of the four-time NFL MVP to include orange as well as blue now. And Manning has his sights set on another Super Bowl run, and standing in at quarterback for the most balanced team in the AFC is a sure help to that end.

The Buccaneers (6-5) came oh-so-close to knocking off one of the studs in their own conference. Unfortunately, that Week 12 game against Atlanta went to the visiting Falcons. Another opportunity for the Bucs to show their mettle awaits them, but this time, their foe resides in the other conference.
