Arsene Wenger Can Prove His Critics Wrong

With the nail biting 2-1 win over Hull last Tuesday, Arsenal are on a good winning streak. I was fortunate enough to be there to watch the game.

I must say the atmosphere was great at the Emirates (as it always is). The controversy following the game (the Fabregas Spitgate saga) downplayed the effort they had to put in to win that game. 

Hull, as I mentioned in my previous article, are a tough team to beat. They do not create many chances, but the very few they create, they make the most out of.

Arsenal, however, were the victors on that night and now play in the semifinals of the FA Cup. Who would have thought that they would get that far without key players? 

I am sure expectations by critics of Arsenal thought that Arsenal would not go any further than the quarterfinals. 

The draw for the Champions league has now been made and Arsenal play Villarreal in the quarterfinals. The first leg is away which may favour Arsenal should they be able to get an away goal. 

Spanish and Italian teams have suffered at the Emirates in the past. This gives Arsenal a great chance to reach the semifinals. 

Again, critics would have thought that Arsenal would not go any further than the quarterfinals. We will have to see about that one.

Arsenal have achieved already in my eyes. You have to look at the number of key players injured this season. 

Without them, Arsenal have made so much progress. Of course with Arshavin in the squad, it has made a huge difference. 

Eduardo's on-and-off inclusion were huge contributions. Walcott's return has provide width and speed on the right wing.

If Arsenal manage to beat Villarreal, I do not see any reason why they should not beat Manchester United. Arsenal know how to play against them.

The win loss ratio of both teams are very close. Although premature, I can see an Arsenal v. Man Utd semifinal. Should be very exciting!
