NFL Predictions Week 12: Teams That Will Steal a Victory on the Road

Jun 7, 2018

It’s already Week 12 of the 2012 NFL season, and now that the Thanksgiving turkey has been devoured, it’s time to make predictions about which road teams will steal a win this holiday weekend.

With a wide variety of divisional battles and playoff races heating up, these big road wins will shake up the way the standings look going into Week 13 and entering the final stretch towards the playoffs.

Each of the following teams will travel this week, but the extra focus will force these road warriors to play harder and steal a victory.

Denver Broncos

Denver at Kansas City

Led by Peyton Manning and the league’s fifth-best passing attack (288.9 yards per game), the Denver Broncos will destroy the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium Sunday.

Kansas City is stuck at 1-9 on the season and has been flat-out awful on offense. While the Chiefs have great players on their roster, they have yet to get all of their stars working on the same page.

With Denver’s defense playing inspired football, Kansas City will face pressure from every angle and turn the ball over at a rate they will not be able to recover from.

This game could get very ugly.

Prediction: Denver 33, Kansas City 17

Green Bay Packers

Green Bay at NY Giants

In what could be the best game of the entire weekend, the Green Bay Packers will travel to the Meadowlands Sunday night to square off with the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants.

In the process, the Packers will send the entire NFC a message with their dominant win.

Green Bay and its 12th-ranked pass offense (246.3 yards per game) will exploit the depleted Giants pass defense that ranks 24th in the NFL (257.8 yards allowed per game). With so much room to work, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will destroy the New York secondary.

After a bye week and two straight losses, there is no doubt Eli manning and the Giants will be looking for redemption Sunday, but the offensive unit will need time to get back on the same page.

Green Bay will already have the definitive lead and steal the road win by the time New York figures it out.

Prediction: Green Bay 30, New York 24

Carolina Panthers

Carolina at Philadelphia

The Carolina Panthers have been struggling mightily this year, but the Eagles have been even worse. On the national stage of Monday Night Football, Cam Newton and the Panthers will stun Philadelphia.

With Philadelphia still without star quarterback Michael Vick (concussion), the likelihood that the Eagles' offense will be able to take advantage of Carolina’s depleted defensive unit is very low.

Add in that Philadelphia’s defense has been porous at best over the last five weeks, and nothing will cure Newton’s sophomore slump more than facing off with an Eagles defense that looks to be mailing in their effort.

Prediction: Carolina 34, Philadelphia 24
