Drag Racer Alexis DeJoria Takes Leap of Faith, Engaged to Jesse James

Jesse James is quite the catch because he is once again engaged, this time to drag racer Alexis DeJoria. 

With Leather reports the reality television host, who was once married to Sandra Bullock and dated Kat Von D, is now reportedly marrying into the sports world. 

Oh yeah, this relationship has legs. 

A USA Today report gives us more details on the lady love who not only stole James' heart away, but is also convinced a tattered past is by no means a sign of things to come.

She's daughter of John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of billionaire hair care giant Paul Mitchell. "I've always been interested in a fast-paced lifestyle," DeJoria, 35, who has a daughter, Isabella, 9, told the New York Times in a May interview, adding that her father has always owned Ferraris and Porsches. She now competes in the Funny Car class, typically driving a supercharged Toyota some 300 mph.

Ah, so the beautiful DeJoria is not only a fierce competitor, she also happens to be something of a wealthy heiress. 

Lovely. 

Once again, we have to state the obvious: Marriage isn't for everyone. Jesse James may be a great boyfriend and partner, but he doesn't seem to be the epitome of long-term relationships. 

But hey, congratulations to DeJoria who I hope can turn a former philanderer into a one-woman, fidelity-enriched man. 

For those uninitiated, James is a gifted customizer of bikes and automobiles, having reality television shows on Spike TV and Discovery. 

His biggest claim to fame may have been his relationship with Sandra Bullock, a marriage that lasted five years and ended amid a flurry of extra-marital affair rumors. 

James was engaged to tattoo artist Kat Von D and also dated Karla James and Janine Lindemulder, via USA Today.

If all that weren't strange enough, DeJoria and the 43-year-old James have been dating a little over a month before taking the marital leap. 

Seriously, world. You don't have to get married.
