Q & A With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers Quarterback Ryan Vena

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers quarterback Ryan Vena is considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the Arena Football League Two.

This season, Vena seems to more confident then ever about his team's ability to win it all.

Here is what he had to say in a recent interview.

Q: A few years back you decided to leave Albany and come to the Pioneers. Was there any major reason you did so?

A: I had other teammates of mine from Albany coming to WB and we just had a feeling that we were going to the right organization."

Q: Are the Pioneers the best organization that you have played for. If not what other comes close or above it?

A: Yes, definitely the best organization I've ever played for!

Q: Did you ever think of the NFL draft, and if so, did you attend any pro days or scouting combines?

A: Every player dreams of being in the NFL, but I unfortunately never got a shot, nor attended any pro days.

Q: You have a video on youtube where your attitude seems different about this team, more than any other team. Do you think this is the year the Pioneers can bring home the cup? If so, how can this year's team accomplish this?

A: Absolutely, that's why I decided to come back. We have a great mix of veterans and rookies and with that we'll play smart, play as a team, and win every game.

Q: The Pioneers have one of the most difficult schedules in the AF2. Who are you most looking forward to playing and who will be the biggest test for the '09 Pioneers?

A: I look forward to playing every opponent on our schedule.

Q: A lot of fans are excited to know what the new uniforms look like. What can you tell us about them and how do you like the new look? What about the uniform is changing?

A: Well I don't really wanna give anything away about the new unis, just know that the fans will love the new color scheme!

Q: Give a prediction for the 2009 Pioneers.

A: If we don't win it all it will be a major disappointment!
