My Bracket Breakdown: East, South, and Final Four

The other two rounds I did one at a time. But for time constraints I have decided to combine the final two and give my final predictions on this year's NCAA tournament.

I will just pick notable first and second round games, and pick up the bracket with the Sweet 16.

Here goes nothing...

Tennessee vs. Oklahoma State - The Vols and Cowboys will play down to the wire with the Vols coming out victorious! And then they'll play Pitt...

VCU will defeat UCLA in round one, but the home court will be too much to overcome Villanova in round two.

UNC will not need Ty Lawson until the Sweet 16. It's a good thing they'll make it there after crushing Radford, and squeaking by Butler.

Western Kentucky will make it to the Sweet 16 as well. Defeating a good Gonzaga team on the way.

Michigan pulls the minor upset of Clemson and then shocks the world with a second round upset of mighty Oklahoma!

Sweet 16 - East Regional

Pitt vs. Florida State - Pitt is too physical for just about anyone in the country.

Villanova vs. Duke - Duke wins a heckuva game.

Elite Eight - East Regional

Pitt vs. Duke - I have to take the Panthers.

Pitt advances to the final four.

Sweet 16 - South Regional

North Carolina vs. Western Kentucky - Western is almost there. They are on the cusp of becoming the next Gonzaga. Too bad they'll face a UNC team at full strength. UNC wins.

Syracuse vs. Michigan - Syracuse is playing tough, Big East style basketball right now. Way too much for the young Wolverines to handle.

Elite Eight

UNC vs. Syracuse - UNC may meet their match in this one. But once again I just cant pick against the TarHeels in this tournament. Cant do it.

Final Four

Louisville vs. Purdue, and UNC vs. Pitt

Louisville vs. UNC

UNC wins 84 - 80

The North Carolina TarHeels will be the 2008-09 National Champions!
