NFL Picks Week 11: Favorites Sure to Cover the Spread
As the NFL season goes on, nailing picks against the spread becomes more and more difficult. With a huge sample size to base the lines on, oddsmakers have a pretty good feel for the teams and how these games will play out.
However, that doesn't mean there aren't good bets to cover the spread.
In fact, there are some teams that appear to be gaining momentum, and Vegas hasn't quite given them the respect they deserve. With some lines appearing to be too low, these are the teams you want to jump on this week.

St. Louis Rams (-3.5) over New York Jets
Because of their big name and constant media attention, the New York Jets usually get a little more respect than they deserve, and that's the case here.
The Jets are in a total state of disarray. They have no offensive identity. The defense has been surprisingly mediocre, and they make way more headlines for quarterback controversy than they do for winning football games.
The Jets have been particularly awful the last two games, dropping a 30-9 home game to the Dolphins and losing 28-7 on the road against the Seahawks.
The Rams, on the other hand, just tied the San Francisco 49ers on the road last week.
Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) over Kansas City Chiefs
The Bengals are coming off their best win of the season. A heavy underdog against the Giants last week, Cincinnati utilized an explosive passing game and good defense to stun New York at home and reinvigorate their season.
The Chiefs showed some life in their own right with an overtime loss to the Steelers last week, but they are still one of the worst teams in football.
Kansas City is 1-7 on the season, and five of those seven losses have come by more than 10 points. If Andy Dalton plays anywhere near the level that he played last week against the Giants, there's no way the Chiefs keep it within three points.
Throw in the fact that the Bengals could still be in the playoff hunt with a win, and Cincinnati has the edge in the motivation department too.
New Orleans Saints (-6) over Oakland Raiders
Looking at this line, oddsmakers must still be holding the Saints 0-4 start against them.
Since that point, the Saints have ripped off a 4-1 streak in their last five games behind an explosive offense led by Drew Brees. After unseating the previously undefeated Atlanta Falcons at home last week, the Saints are a force to be reckoned with once again.
Conversely, the Raiders appear to be fading fast.
After putting together back-to-back wins against the Jaguars and Chiefs to close out October, the Raiders have lost to the Buccaneers 42-32 and the Ravens 55-20.
In the loss to the Ravens, Oakland actually held Ray Rice in check on the ground. The usually stellar back had 35 yards on 13 carries. Joe Flacco, however, torched the Raiders secondary for 341 yards and three touchdowns.
If Flacco put up 55 against the Raiders, how many do you think Brees and his offense can score?
The Saints are a mortal lock to win by more than a touchdown.
