The Assassination Attempt: Wrestlemania 25 and Who Will Win!
For a while now I have seen many Wrestlemania 25 previews. Some have been good, such as Terrell's from yesterday. But some have not had all the matches in the article. Now it seems as if all of the matches have been added.
Of course, I have my opinion on who will win and why. So without further ado, let's get started.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Of course, like every year, we are having a Money in the Bank match. This year we will see Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston, Christian, CM Punk, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, Finley, and Kane.
I feel that Christian will win, only because of all the hype behind him. He came in and was supposed to be in a big feud, then all the sudden we see him on ECW. A favorite by others in MVP.
I feel he is a good pick, but the problem is that he is on a face run, but not a main eventer yet. Christian on the other hand is able to go into main event matches because he is already as very well known wrestler.
Christian also is a Ladder match veteran, which means he will be good in the match, also he has been a World Champion before. So this may kick start his WWE run as a World Champion.
Tag Team Unification Match: Miz and Morrison (World Tag Champs) vs The Colons (WWE Tag Champs)
For about a month now, we have seen a rivalry that started out small, turn into a huge one. Miz and Morrison had to put their tag titles on the line against the Colons one week, and won.
Then The Colons put their titles on the line against Miz and Morrison and retained. With that said they had to do something like this.
The Bella Twins went with the winners of both matches, but then it seemed one Bella Twin was wanting a winner, while the other wanted to just be with the fun.
I am not sure, but I believe Brie Bella went with Miz and Morrison and Nikki Bella went with the Colons. So I am sure they will be in separate corners at 'Mania.
My pick is Miz and Morrison. The WWE wants to put Miz and Morrison in the light as the best tag team if the WWE. Sure, Primo and Carlito are good but are not considered a great tag team.
With that said, the best pick would be Miz and Morrison.
25 Diva Battle Royal
We first heard of this a few weeks ago on WWE RAW. It was after an altercation earlier that night in a Divas match between Maryse and Melina. It had divas from RAW and SmackDown on the outside of the ring supporting their diva, or that is how it started.
It quickly broke down, and it ended with both SmackDown and RAW divas in the ring. Which made Vickie Guerrero say later in the night that that there would be a 25 Diva Battle Royal. The winner would be labeled Mrs. Wrestlemania.
It started when SmackDown's Maryse made an appearance on RAW the previous week; there was an altercation in a match then. Melina went to help but, Maryse grabbed her of the ring and DDTed her on the outside of the ring.
It is not just present divas, but past divas in this match. With that said, former divas like Torrie Wilson, Sunny, and Trish Stratus may be there.
If this happens, I expect Mrs. Wrestlemania to be Trish Stratus.
Brother vs Brother: Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy
It started out at the Royal Rumble when Matt Hardy betrayed younger brother Jeff, costing him the WWE Title by hitting him in the head with a chair.
Matt just now took the blame for the events that happened before when Jeff was attacked at a Boston Hotel, the Pyro explosion, and the car crash. He cost Jeff a spot in money in the back too.
He has been trying to get him to face him all this time, now he will get it at Wrestlemania 25. Now we have not seen a true brother vs brother since Owen and Bret Hart. So this would be good to see in my opinion.
I feel the winner will be Matt Hardy. The reason why is that he is trying to separate himself from Jeff, he no longer wants to be Matt Hardy brother of Jeff Hardy. Now he just wants to be Matt Hardy, the wrestler.
I feel the WWE really wants to push him to that big heel role. They want him to be in the spotlight more, and I can see why. Matt is a good wrestler and he is doing wonderful in the heel role.
So Matt, in my opinion, is the best choice.
Mr. Wrestlemania vs The Streak: Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels
Michaels may be the only person I actually want to see face Undertaker at Wrestlemania. We have seen so many great matches from HBK, especially some at Wrestlemania.
I thought last year was one of the best matches I had ever seen at Wrestlemania when he faced Ric Flair and beat him.
But this may top that; both are still great wrestlers. 'Taker may have bad knees, but when he has time off, he usually comes back and looks great in the ring.
HBK, while he has documented back problems, always seems to have a good match when you see him.
It is an easy choice in this one; I pick The Undertaker. You can't end his streak, it would just be wrong to me. It is at the 25th anniversary after all. Some think that since that is the case, then Undertaker should lose.
I feel the opposite way. It seems as if 'Taker will retire in a few years, so he won't be around much longer to keep the streak alive. I feel he should retire as the only man ever to be undefeated at Wrestlemania.
While I'm sure Michaels will show us a great match with 'Taker, and keep us on the edge of our seats. It is just wrong to me, if the WWE does not have Taker win.
Chris Jericho vs The WWE Legends
For about two or three months now, we have seen Chris Jericho say negative things toward the Golden Globe winning actor Micky Rourke and the movie The Wrestler.
He said that all of the legends are washed up and don't need to be in the spotlight anymore, which basically goes against the movie The Wrestler. Jericho issued a challenge to Roddy Piper, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, and Ricky Steamboat at 'Mania.
Now they have not officially accepted yet, which means Jericho will come out to the ring similar to what he did this past week on RAW and demand them to come out, or something similar.
I feel they will not face Jericho, as it would be stupid to see a three-on-one match. I would think that Stone Cold would come out and have something to say. We possibly will see many legends come out and face Jericho.
I feel we could see many Legends take turns hitting Jericho and have Rourke involved somehow. Possibly to have the final punch or something.
I still feel Austin will be involved and possibly we will see a Stone Cold Stunner. Which I am sure most fans would want to see. Winner...duh. the Legends.
JBL(c) vs ????? for Intercontinental Championship
JBL won the IC Title from CM Punk recently. He claimed he had a huge, historical thing he was going to do at Wrestlemania.
That is that he will retire there as IC Champion. Now no one has ever retired as a champion at Wrestlemania, so that would be historic. Second, no one has ever retired as IC Champ, either.
Trish Stratus was the last and only person ever to retire as a champion, but it was the Women's Championship and not at Wrestlemania.
There is word that he will face Vladimir Kozlov at Wrestlemania. Since 'Mania is in Texas, and JBL is from Texas, he wants his final match to be in his home state.
So since his contract is up in May, it would be ok if he went ahead and had his final match there. I feel since it will be against Kozlov, JBL will be the face in the match.
Of course, since JBL wants to retire at Mania as IC Champion, that means he will win the match. Of course, this has not been scheduled just yet and may be last minute.
I don't think it will be a dark match since it is JBL and he wants to do something historic. JBL will win and it should be in the show.
World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena vs Big Show vs Edge(c)
We saw the beginnings of this when John Cena lost against Edge when Edge put his World Title on the line. He got DQed and then all the sudden the Big Show was named No. 1 contender.
Of course, that made Cena angry and he came out on SmackDown and said he had some friends in Boston, which was were RAW was held. His friend had security camera access.
Which meant Cena got the tape. Of course as we know it showed Big Show and Vickie Guerrero getting intimate. Which meant Vickie cheated on her husband Edge.
He kind of deserved it, considering he did cheat on her with Alicia Fox, who made a career change to wrestling somehow from being a wedding planner. Go figure.
Anyway, Cena got into the match after he told Vickie he would show this video to the world if he didn't get in.
He signed the contract on RAW, yet still showed the video anyway, which made things better for him because it got the alliance on Edge and Show to be out of the way.
They both want to get ahead, and being with the GM helps. So that may work in their favor. I feel since it is Wrestlemania, that John Cena will win.
Now, he could lose it soon after. But I feel since Edge will be out to get Show out of the match, that he will end up hurting himself. Cena will take advantage and send an attitude adjustment to either Show or Edge and win.
WWE Championship: Triple H(c) vs Randy Orton
We have seen Randy Orton act like a loose cannon for some time now. The Monday before RAW he punted Vince McMahon in the head.
This took him out of the WWE, again. Of course that made Shane McMahon want to get involved. He did his best, but feel short. He then got his skull kicked in two.
Then the unthinkable happened, he RKOed Stephanie McMahon. This sent Triple H, the WWE Champ, over the edge. He then went out to get revenge on Orton. Going a far as to go to Orton's home and attack him.
He really destroyed the Orton house, and took his rage out on Orton. Then the next week he took out a member of Legacy, Cody Rhodes. He with some help, got a Steel Cage to come down during the match with Rhodes.
He took out Rhodes fairly quickly, then just added to more pain by throwing him into the cage. Which looks as if he will take out DiBiase next week to make sure it is a one on one match at Mania.
I feel that the winner will be Triple H. He is trying to avenge his family, and with that said it may put him over the top.
Orton, however, wants to prove something to Triple H. He wants to prove he can beat Triple H without any help this time.
They were both in Evolution, and we all know that Triple H turned on Orton and took the World Title Orton won back at the following PPV.
It took Orton a long time to get back, but then became a great singles competitor. He wants to avenge his Legacy. He wants to prove to Triple H that he never needed him, and can be successful without him or Evolution.
He has been WWE and World Champion after Evolution, but never really beat Triple H. If he did it was not for a title or it was when Triple H had a handicap against him.
Orton can't win because of the fact that he is the heel in the match. I picked him to win when I first saw him take out Vince, and then win the Royal Rumble.
But then once the storyline unfolded, I had to go with Triple H. The story makes you want to go with Triple H here. It is not because he is a face, but the fact he is defending his family.
Does this mean Triple H will keep the WWE Title long? No. In fact he may lose it after Mania fairly quickly. But at Mania, you have to go with him because of him defending his family.
Plus since the WWE is PG and wants to gear toward the family, it makes it pretty clear where they are going. Also Triple H has not won at Wrestlemania since Wrestlemania 19 when I believe he beat Booker T.
With that said he is kind of due to win. Also Orton won against Triple H at the last Wrestlemania. He may have pinned John Cena last year, but it was because of Triple H's Pedigree and because he punted HHH in the head to get the pin on Cena to retain.
So Orton had his chance to win at 'Mania.
These are my picks, who do you think will win?
