2012 PPR Fantasy Football Week 10: Flex Play Rankings (RB/WR)

Sean E. DouglasJun 3, 2018

Instead of just using Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas as a two-headed backfield in New Orleans, the Saints activated Chris Ivory and used a three-man attack. We’ve seen this in the past, and while it will continue to frustrate fantasy owners, we should like what we saw from the ground game last week.

Of the three backs, look to Thomas as the top flex play option. Thomas has 17 receptions on the season and will likely receive the most work in the passing game.

Expect Matt Cassel To Start

As of Thursday, Brady Quinn was still yet to be cleared from suffering a concussion a few weeks ago, when playing against the Raiders. We should anticipate Cassel starting again this week, which is good news for Dwayne Bowe in a difficult matchup.

Bowe is more of a WR3 option this week as the Chiefs are playing against a hot defense, and Kansas City’s offense continues to struggle in the passing game. At least with Cassel at quarterback, we know the veteran will target Bowe with regularity, and based off the film from last week, it’s clear the two still have solid chemistry.

Marshawn Lynch’s Wrist Injury

If Robert Turbin is sitting out on your waiver wire it might be a good idea to scoop him up as Lynch has a wrist injury. The Seahawks have a bye week after their game against the Jets, so expect Lynch to get a ton of touches as long as he doesn’t re-injure the wrist.

As for Turbin, his upside is a low-end RB1 if Lynch should go down because he will make an impact in the running game, the passing game and on the goal line.
