Theory of a Bronco Fan: Why I Think Denver Is Falling Apart

Jennifer KingContributor IMarch 16, 2009

Imagine my surprise waking up to hearing Jay wants a trade. Seriously, I have to say I saw this coming as soon as I heard the Broncos even entertained the dumbest idea on the face of the planet.

But I have a few theories as to why this seems like it was inevitable.

First, I will go into the team owner, Pat Bowlen. Someone slap that man and tell him his name is not Al Davis and that he doesn’t have to sabotage the Broncos. I seriously think this man is seriously turning into Al Davis by making stupid moves.

Pat, I can solve your problems by simply being the mediator in this whole situation.

First, what you need to do is take some duct tape and cut four pieces. The first piece would go to Xanders, I think he is one of the people to make this whole situation pretty bad.

The second piece would to go to McBelicheat…self explanatory. The third piece would go to Bus Cook, more on that later. The final piece would go to Jay Cutler. At this point, you need someone experienced with schoolyard bullies and children cause I’m viewing all parties in these metaphoric lights.

Then you need to stick all parties, excluding yourself, in a meeting room and lock the door. The mediator will have to have a special knock so that when  the meeting is finished they all can leave.

I would not let anyone out of that room until we got down to what is troubling all. Seriously, love the fans (you know the little guys who take their hard earned money and spend it on tickets for the team they love so much) not piss them off the entire offseason.

Second, the head coaching position. At the beginning of the '08-'09 season, I heard on the announcers exclaim that Mike was letting Jeremy Bates make the calls offensively. As a fan, I speculated whether this would be the last year seeing Mike don the Orange and Blue.

I figured he was fixing to retire, not get fired.

Now if Bates was making the calls, why in the heck would you go outside of the organization and acquire a coach from a team that openly cheats. If I were Pat, I would have stuck with a guy that not only called some pretty impressive stuff but has a good working relationship with the QB.

I know there is more to coaching a team than the offense but I’m pretty sure Bates would not have tried to fix something that ain’t broken.

Here is my final issue with this whole stupid situation, Bus Cook. I really think this guy is playing the devil’s advocate. I can just see this dude now sitting on Jay’s shoulder with his horns and pitch fork.

Where is Cutler’s angel? No clue, certainly I think you won’t get sound advice from Cook. This is the guy that ego stroke Brett Favre. If Jay was smart he would realize what a disaster the Favre thing was and ditch his agent. Jay, a trained monkey could do better.

Hey these are my theories in this whole mess and I still stupidly believe that things could be worked out. Jay just needs some sound advice from someone who hasn’t sold their soul to the devil.

Here’s my advice Jay, give yourself a week alone and think about what you could throw away being anywhere else. You have a loyal fan base and a pretty solid offense to lead. Think about it.
