Breeders' Cup 2012 TV Schedule: Where and When to Catch the Biggest Races
All the horses have arrived for the 2012 Breeders’ Cup, post times are set and there’s nothing left to do but sit back and prepare for an exciting bunch of races at Santa Anita Park this weekend.
Yes, there were concerns about all of the horses making it before the 72-hour report deadline prior to the start of races due to Hurricane Sandy’s early-week East Coast rampage that forced several teams to change their travel plans to the West Coast race site.
BloodHorse.com writer Claire Novak confirmed on Wednesday night and then Thursday afternoon that all of the runners made it in time after a tumultuous couple of days of travel.
Now that that pesky hurricane is out of the way we can focus on the important stuff, where and when you’re going to watch some of the most exciting races of the two-day Breeders’ Cup.

Dreaming of Julia (7/2) and Kauai Katie (9/2) were among the late runners to arrive due to weather delays. Both are near favorites, trailing just behind ExecutivePrivilege.
The race pits an East vs. West unbeaten record on the line as both ExecutivePrivilige (West Coast) and Dreaming of Julia (East Coast) are undefeated.

Wise Dan (9/4) was among those who were late to report but arrived finally on Wednesday. He’s the close favorite behind Excelebreation. Hopefully the team’s rocky travel plans don’t end up costing them with a poor showing on Saturday.
Race: Breeders’ Cup Classic
Length: 1 1/4 miles
Purse: $5 million
When: Saturday, Nov. 3
Post Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
Where to Watch: NBC
Favorite: Game on Dude (7/4 – Bovada)
Mucho Macho Man (13/2), Fort Larned (8/1) and Brilliant Speed (20/1) were the only Classic contenders who were delayed en route to the West Coast track due to the storm.
Flat Out (6/1), who won the set up race to the Classic at the end of September, has switched trainers this year and has been surging ever since. He was favored to win last season but ended up finishing a disappointing fifth-place.
Could there be an upset brewing in the event’s biggest race?
