WWE News: AJ Lee Will Be a Smart Addition to Divas Roster

A new star-in-the-making on the WWE Divas roster?

Check.

Her name is A.J. Lee. She was the general manager of Raw before resigning after allegedly having an affair with John Cena. Now, courtesy of Raw managing supervisor Vickie Guerrero, Lee is now a Diva, per WrestlingINC.com.

Some will say that Lee didn't deserve a second chance. After all, how can she be trusted to uphold the WWE name after the news that came out?

But, this is what the WWE does, inciting controversy while grabbing ratings in the process. And let's be honest, we will watch Lee as a Diva, and we will probably enjoy it. It will be entertaining. This is World Wrestling Entertainment. 

How boring would it have been if Lee was just plopped on the Divas roster, calmly resigning, and said she wanted to pursue another avenue? Boooring.

What better way to add some buzz to Lee's name than to say she allegedly had an affair with one of the WWE's biggest household names? Sure, it's slimy and in poor taste, but hey, that kind of thing tends to stick around in the wrestling world.

Plus, with the host of Divas having recently left the WWE, this was almost needed. Lee is a great choice to add some spice to the roster.

Lee is good looking, and she knows it. So do all of her fans. She also comes complete with drama, and she knows it. So do all of her fans. That's why she is being given the star treatment by the WWE (i.e. adding a storyline to her name).

Her character is evolving, and we're all being taken along for the ride, headed down the mysterious path the WWE is creating.

And, we wouldn't have it any other way.
