WWE Power Rankings: March Week Three!

Sterling EbyMar 13, 2009
Wrestlemania is in 22 days and counting. Edge has been the crowning star of all the champions. He has won his matches. He hasn't been in a ultra-beat down. Its a safe pick to make Edge No. 1 this week.
But many strong contenders are looking into making a name for themselves. Here are this week's Power Rankings!
1. Edge (last week No. 1)

TOP NEWS

WRESTLING: OCT 02 AEW Dynamite/Rampage Pittsburgh
Monday Night RAW
World Heavyweight Champion. His World title is on the line. It looks like its gonna be a Triple Threat...is Edge prepared for either opponent?
2. Triple H (last week No. 2)
WWE Champion. On Monday night, he showed us why he is the Cerebral Assassin.
He also showed us that jean jackets are for criminals. Please H, get rid of the jean jacket look. That is so Wrestlemania X-Seven!
3. John Cena (last week No. 4)
He's apparently got big plans for Wrestlemania. Vickie knows them. John knows them. He's gonna be entered into Smackdown's Three Way Dance for the title. He's beaten Big Show on the Grandest Stage. We're all aware of Edge/Cena '07. The Year of Edge and Cena. Cena is very fond of Wrestlemania!
4. Randy Orton (last week No. 3)
He won the Royal Rumble. Check. He beat up the McMahons. Check. Taking care of Triple H. Ummm that's a big ten-four...Nope! Get it together, Orton!
5. Undertaker (last week No. 6)
Easy victory against Vladimir Kozlov. Is he ready for his biggest Wrestlemania competition yet?
6. Shawn Michaels (last week No. 7)
He shows he's not scared of the Undertaker, but is he ready for the Undertaker?
7. Jack Swagger (last week No. 5)
ECW Champion. You're the ECW Champion, Swagger. You know what that means! No TV time for you this week!!
8. JBL (last week No. 19)
Intercontinental Champion. He beat CM Punk this past Monday to win the IC title for the first time in his career. Congrats to JBL! Better yet, what's he gonna do at Wrestlemania that will shock the world?
9. Vladimir Kozlov (last week No. 8)
He lost the battle royal on ECW. He lost Friday on Smackdown. He's lost three in a row. Give this guy a match against Funaki or something!
10. Miz and Morrison (last week No. 9)
World Tag Team Champions. They lost to Finlay, Rey Mysterio, and Christian on Raw. The Miz lost to Primo on ECW. But when the titles are on the line, they step it up, and keep them. Lost some momentum, though!
11. Matt Hardy (last week No. 11)
Great promo Friday night. Tension is definitely building.
12.) Jeff Hardy (last week No. 12)
Read above statement.
13.) Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase (last week No. 13)
Well... They won their match against Triple H. Just because they won the battle, doesn't mean they have won the war.
14. CM Punk (last week No. 10)
Losing a title is one thing, but will he lose momentum in his chase to win back-to-back Money in the Bank matches?
15. Finlay (last week No. 16)
He officially qualified for Money in the Bank Friday Night after beating The Brian Kendrick. Finlay is going to Wrestlemania!
16. Rey Mysterio (last week No. 15)
He took a six-man tag victory this week. He isn't in a match for Wrestlemania yet?
17. Kane (last week No. 14)
He lost Monday Night to Finlay, Rey Mysterio, and Christian. Kane needs to gain some momentum for Money in the Bank. Don't you thank?
18. The Big Show (last week No. 21)
He is the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Title. But it looks like there is another contender for the title as well. Seriously Mr. Show, Vickie Guerrero?
19. Christian (last week No. 23)
With a six-man tag win Monday, and qualifying for Money in the Bank on Tuesday, it has been a good week for Christian!
20. Carlito and Primo (last week No. 20)
WWE Tag Team Champions. Primo beat The Miz one on one Tuesday Night on ECW, but they couldn't win the World Tag Team Titles Friday Night. 1 for 2 this week.
21. MVP (last week No. 17)
He takes a loss Friday to Shelton Benjamin and Chavo Guerrero. Not a good loss for Smackdown's Greatest Acquisition.
22. Chris Jericho (last week No. 18)
With a loss Monday Night. He's not in Money in the Bank (of course, we didn't see that coming) It looks like he will be beating up old people this Wrestlemania. Sounds easier than it looks, right?
23. Shelton Benjamin (last week No. 24)
United States Champion. With Chavo Guerrero, he beats MVP and R-Truth. A little momentum gained for Wrestlemania!
24.) Kofi Kingston (last week Not on List)
He beat Chris Jericho to qualify for Money in the Bank. What will the Jamaican Sensation have in store in his first Wrestlemania match?
25.) Mark Henry (last week No. 22)
He was idle this week, but he's going to Wrestlemania. Enough to stay on this list!

FAREWELL:
Mike Knox: Not getting Television time hurts. Maybe you should stop beating up on Jamie Noble and injuring cruiserweights.
MOMENTUM GAINERS:
Tyson Kidd: He beat DJ Gabriel this week on Monday. Can he beat Evan Bourne. Or how about Rey Mysterio?
Evan Bourne: He makes his return next week!
Chavo Guerrero: He almost qualified for MITB Tuesday, and he won his match Friday!
