Bryce Harper and Robert Griffin III Bro out on Twitter over RG3 Socks

If you look out your window, you can almost see the enormous rainbow created by the merging of Washington sports stars as one embarked on a journey for socks. 

This will all make magical sense shortly. 

You see, Bryce Harper is a huge fan of Robert Griffin III, both the person and the socks the Redskins quarterback wears. 

The Washington Nationals slugger was so infatuated with the swagger, he announced his love on Twitter, and the two gave the equivalent of a virtual bro hug. 

It was adorable. 

Thanks to Larry Brown Sports for spotting some tweets that should have some Washington-based fans beaming with pride. 

First comes this reply to Harper from RG3.

Then comes Harper's epic journey to get these socks, because he just couldn't wait for Griffin to make good on his word and send him a pair. 

So geeked out of his skull, he hopped in the car and headed to Vegas.

I am usually stoked about the buffets and comped drinks, but socks are a perfectly good reason to head to Sin City. 

Like Odysseus, or Harold and Kumar, Harper ran into some adventures along the way.

It's good to see a budding superstar like Harper lose it like a little kid in an autograph line, waiting to meet his favorite athlete.
