Diego Maradona Celebrates Birthday in India by Doing Maradona Stuff (Video)

It's been a long, strange trip through this world for Diego Armando Maradona, and by his lofty standards, what you're about to see is hardly noteworthy.

Even so, when the Argentine legend is in the news, we're likely to watch. This video is no exception.

Above you can see Maradona, the World Cup-winning former Argentine international forward, celebrating his upcoming 52nd birthday (the real date is Oct. 30). Just trust us when we say that it's awesome.

Maradona's 52nd birthday celebration, which for some reason happened in India, is the B/R World Football Video of the Day. Enjoy. Es muy bueno.

No, it doesn't quite live up to this (what could?), but it's still great.

First, we see Maradona putting his arms in the air (and waving 'em like he just don't care), flirting with former Indian model Ranjini Haridas and punting a football into the strangely enormous crowd. All that can be seen in the first video, which appears above.

But wait, there's more.

Next, Maradona juggled a football to a Ricky Martin song, posed with an Argentina jersey, juggled some more with a random dude, punted another the ball into the crowd, posed some more with his jersey and then danced a bit.

Finally, Maradona sang a song, cut his enormous birthday cake, licked icing off fingers of some bystanders and blew kisses to his adoring fans. Happy birthday to him.

So in summary, if you're a 50-something Argentine former footballing great and you want to have a big-time birthday blowout, just fly to India and go crazy. We'll all be watching and enjoying.
