Angelo Crowell on the Philadelphia Eagles' Radar?

Currently, the Philadelphia Eagles linebacking core consists of Stewart Bradley, Tank Daniels, Omar Gaither, Chris Gocong, Akeem Jordan, and Joe Mays. Could we see an addition to that group?

The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly interested in the 6'1", 246-pound outside linebacker, along with the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Crowell was on injured reserve the entire '08 season due to a knee injury.

The Eagles' young outside linebackers were exposed in the NFC Championship game and Crowell could help out tremendously.

Crowell has 343 career tackles, seven sacks, and five interceptions. He has had some injury problems over the past couple years but a healthy Crowell would make the linebacking core better in coverage.

He isn't a great cover linebacker, but does have experience playing in the nickel package in Buffalo. He does a particularly good job in coverage with tight ends, which was an area of concern last year for the birds.

I believe that the outside linebacker position has been overlooked this offseason because of Brian Dawkins, Tra Thomas, and other key players leaving. The bottom line is that Crowell would be a great addition to this team and would sure up the outside linebacker position.
