Kentucky Wildcats in the NFL, Week 7: Randall Cobb on a Tear

Nick NafpliotisJun 7, 2018

Week 7 in the NFL was supposed to be a quiet week for University of Kentucky alumni due to bye weeks, but Randall Cobb was having none of that.

Arguably the greatest player in Kentucky football history, Cobb put himself on a record pace and gave his Green Bay Packers a great performance to go along with some other fine outings by these former Wildcats this past Sunday.

Stevie Johnson, Buffalo Bills

Versus Tennessee Titans

5 rec, 71 yards, 1 TD

The Buffalo Bills offense finally came back to life this Sunday. When Stevie Johnson found the end zone on a 27-yard pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick at the end of the third quarter, it looked like the Bills would have this game in hand.

Unfortunately for them, the Tennessee Titans, led by a resurgent Chris Johnson, were able to punch one in at the end of the fourth to come away with a 35-34 win.

Versus St. Louis Rams

3 punts, 38.7 yard avg, 2 inside 20-yard line

A strong showing by the Green Bay Packers offense meant that the Ginger with the Golden Boot didn't have to bail his team out too much during their 30-20 win over the St. Louis Rams.

Garry Williams, Carolina Panthers

4 of 4

Garry Williams got the nod to start at right tackle this week (per James Dator of CatScratchReader.com) and protected Cam Newton much better than most folks seemed toexpect.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for the struggling Panthers offense, as they fell to the Dallas Cowboys, 19-14.
