Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Well, read on and find out, folks.
5. Carson Palmer, Oakland Raiders
Say what you want about Carson Palmer, but he racked up 18 points against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7 and faces a horrid Kansas City Chiefs pass defense in Week 8.
The Chiefs have allowed 8.9 yards per pass attempt this season (31st in the NFL) while ceding 13 passing touchdowns and notching just four interceptions.
Josh Freeman threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns (one interception) against them in Week 7.
4. Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins
It's hard not to put RG3 in the top five these days after what he did to the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants, but he does face a tough matchup at Pittsburgh in Week 8.
The Steelers have allowed just 6.2 yards per pass attempt this season (third in the NFL) and a middle-of-the-pack 10 passing touchdowns. That includes making Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton look bad in Week 7.
But Griffin's performances against Minnesota and New York project him as an every-week starter, regardless of the opponent.
3. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees has the second-most pass attempts in the league through Sunday's games in Week 7.
In Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he exploded for 29 points, passing for 377 yards and four touchdowns (one interception).
Brees should find himself in a shootout with Peyton Manning against the Denver Broncos in Week 8. Expect him to put up some big points.
2. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers racked up 25 points against a solid St. Louis Rams secondary in Week 7, throwing for 342 yards and three touchdowns.
Now he gets an easier matchup against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense allowing 7.2 yards per pass attempt (16th in the NFL) that just allowed Carson Palmer to post 18 points.
1. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning has not only registered the third-most fantasy points among quarterbacks this season, but he faces the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.
The Saints have allowed 8.9 yards per pass attempt this season (32nd in the NFL) while ceding 12 passing touchdowns. Manning will also be tossing the ball around a lot in what figures to be an explosive offensive display opposite Drew Brees.
