Does Syracuse Have What It Takes To Take Down The Huskies?
The Syracuse Orange are playing like they did at the beginning of the season when they took down teams like Kansas and Memphis. They carry a five-game winning streak into tonight's matchup with the UConn Huskies—you've got to like their chances.
UConn looks as vunerable as ever after losing on the road to Pittsburgh. UConn struggled making the outside shot, and had a tough time defending guards Sam Young and Levance Fields.
Syracuse looked great in its second-round game against Seton Hall. Flynn played flawless, shooting the open jumper at times and often dishing passes to his teammates.

Devendorf and Rautins played hard throughout. When Syracuse had a 28-11 run after offsetting technical fouls these two stole the show. If they shoot the ball like they did against the Pirates, UConn better watch out.
The real key to this game was the play of Onuaku, Jackson, and Ongenaet on the inside. They played terrific defense and were always out running in transition.
Syracuse had a total team effort against Seton Hall and they are going to need to rise their game to another level to take down the Huskies.
Flynn led Syracuse with 19 points and 11 assists. He has shown to be a true floor general for the Orange. Devendorf scored 19 points while playing solid the second half. Onuaku added 15 points and was a defensive stopper in the paint.
The Huskies haven't played since last Saturday when they lost to Pittsburgh. Whenever the Huskies and Orange meet it's sure to be an exciting game.
UConn has had Syracuse's number in recent years. The crowd should be a mixture of Cuse Orange and Husky Blue with the setting taking place at Madison Square Garden.
Syracuse has had its trouble with UConn ever since the Orange upset the then No. 1 Huskies in the 2006 Big East Tournament.
Syracuse needs to take it at Thabeet if they want to win. I like their chances if they can get him into foul trouble early.
The Orange need to ride the wave of the streak they currently are on. Syracuse will score plenty of points if they can continue shooting and passing like they have in recent games.
The most important part of this game will be team defense. The 2-3 zone defense must be effective in order for Syracuse to win.
The first meeting of these two teams in Gampel resulted in an easy 63-49 UConn win. Thabeet was a huge factor in the UConn victory.
A.J. Price is going to have to knock down the shot and penetrate with guards Austrie and Walker. Stanley Robinson needs to show up and play well for the Huskies to go deep in any postseason tournament.
The Huskies have not won a postseason game since 2006. I believe that's going to change come tomorrow night. UConn's team this year is too tough to go down in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament.
UConn wins a close game late in the second half 71-64.
