2012 PPR Fantasy Football Week 7: Running Backs (RB) Rankings

Ahmad Bradshaw has arguably put together his top two performances of his career in the past two weeks. Against the Cleveland Browns, Bradshaw carried the football 30 times for 200 yards. He went to San Francisco and ran for more than 100 against a defense that has allowed only one running back to reach that mark in its last 43 games.

Coming into the season, I warned fantasy owners that Bradhshaw’s foot situation was a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. Now we are up against another foot problem, or perhaps I should say setback (via Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News on Twitter), to the same ailment that has cost the veteran time in the past.

Thankfully, Bradshaw was back in practice, but expect both Andre Brown and David Wilson to be mixed into the running game rotation this week.

It was surprising to see the New York Giants use Bradshaw as much as they have since his return from a neck injury and keeping him on some type of pitch count is best to avoid over working him. Look to the veteran as a solid RB2 play this week as the Giants look to atone for losing to the Redskins both times last year.

Felix Jones Takes Over In Dallas

Because of a foot injury to DeMarco Murray, fantasy owners who landed Felix Jones off the waiver wire have themselves a respectable RB2 play. Jones will be worked in the passing game and should have a feature back role this week. The Panthers have struggled against the run, but we should expect Dallas to throw the football in if it gets close to the goal line.
