Dallas Cowboys: Odds Each NFC East Team Wins the Division
The season is well underway and we are no closer to knowing who is going to win the Super Bowl.
Cowboys’ fans have endured a lot in the first six weeks and the future remains hazy. Between Jason Garrett, Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, there has been a lot to talk about.
Still, the Cowboys (2-3) find themselves in the hunt so to speak. They aren’t far enough out to discount them and there are just as many questions about the other teams in the division.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I came up with a list of odds for teams to win the NFC East. Check them out:
New York Giants (4-2, 0-2 Division) - 50%
The New York Giants have played phenomenal football as of late. I don’t think it’s any secret that Eli Manning is an elite quarterback and Victor Cruz keeps on salsa dancing.
There was legitimate concern about the Giants at the beginning of the season. With an ailing cornerback position and a questionable offensive line there was thought that the Giants would falter. Unfortunately, the Giants have not faltered. They have played strongly and look like the class of the NFC at this point.
The Giants sport the league's 4th ranked offense. Individually they rank 4th in points, 3rd in yards, 5th in passing yards, and 9th in rushing yards.
Defensively the Giants rank 7th in points, 20th in yards allowed, 21st in pass yards allowed, and 16th in rushing yards allowed.
Despite opening the season 0-1 after a loss to the Cowboys the Giants have gotten significantly better. Fresh off a convincing win against the 49ers, many believe the Giants are poised for another Super Bowl run.
The NFC East isn’t as tough as it used to be. The Giants already have two division losses but they are handling all their other opponents. It’s hard to believe that they’ll continue to get swept in a division that has three teams who lack all around consistency.
Dallas Cowboys (2-3, 1-0 Division) - 25%
Are the Cowboys sloppy, unorganized, and underachieving? Yes.
Do they have the talent to win this division despite being 2-3? Yes.
The Cowboys are off to a sluggish start. They have pretty much worked below the standard and injuries to key players have the fan base cringing.
Yet, lets not forget all the talent on this team. It won’t take much for this team to get their confidence back. An improved O-Line and solid defense will keep them in most games. The only thing the Cowboys are going to have to do is learn to finish.
The Cowboys have the best passing defense in the league. That alone is room for encouragement. Things truly are looking up for the Cowboys and even though they lost to Baltimore in pure Dallas fashion, they still left a feeling of optimism.
Jason Garrett, Tony Romo, and Dez Bryant aren’t going to allow the Cowboys to have a lower tier offense for too much longer. Eventually they are going to click and go right back to the efficient explosive offense we know they are capable of becoming.
It’s a long way but if they win a few division games and get through the soft part of their schedule with wins, you're looking at a 9-7 team that can certainly win this division.
Washington Redskins - (3-3, 0-0 Division) - 15%
Remember when the Washington Redskins were a laughing stock?
Well, we’re not laughing anymore.
Robert Griffin III has burst onto the scene and led a Skins’ reemergence. RGIII alone is enough to make us fear the Redskins.
The Redskins have the third best scoring and second best rushing offense in the league. They are no longer a team that is incapable of scoring more than 17 points.
They are dangerous and explosive.
Defensively, the Redskins just aren't that good. That would explain the high scoring shootouts that they've had to endure.
That doesn't mean that the Washington defense can’t make plays though.
With players like DeAngelo Hall, Ryan Kerrigan, and Perry Riley the Redskins have cornerstone players that are capable of taking over the game.
I don’t think this is the year for the Redskins. I do think that their time is just around the corner though, and when it comes it won’t be leaving anytime in the near future.
Philadelphia Eagles (3-3, 1-0 Division) - 10%
Yes the Eagles are sitting above the Redskins and Cowboys in the standings but I feel like a storm is brewing in Philadelphia.
Earlier this week the Eagles dismissed defensive coordinator Juan Castillo and have had players questioning the strategy of their coaching staff late in games.
There is a tremendous amount of talent on this Eagles squad but they are far from being a “Dream Team”.
I think that Andy Reid is now making moves that are going to save his job. He will bench Michael Vick eventually. He will do anything to prove that he has control of this franchise.
The Eagles are still a dangerous squad. They are dynamic and explosive but have been plagued by untimely turnovers and poor play calling. Until they figure out what type of team they are and how to get the ball in LeSean McCoy’s hands more they will be a non-factor in the upcoming weeks.
