Week 7 Fantasy Football Projections: Predicting Top Running Back Performances
With the NFL regular season nearing the halfway mark, fantasy owners have to start making some tough decisions in order to piece together a championship roster.
One of the hardest calls in fantasy is deciding which running backs to start on a weekly basis, and it’s even harder to figure out which RBs to trade for and which players you should ship away.
Here’s a look at the top projected running backs in Week 7, who unsurprisingly happen to be three of the top projected point scorers for the remainder of the season. If you have one on your roster, you’d be crazy not to start him. If you have a chance to trade for a guy on this list, pull the trigger.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
No. 1—Arian Foster, Houston Texans (vs. Baltimore)
After a relatively disappointing performance against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, Foster should be ready to redeem himself. The feature back garnered just 29 yards on 17 carries, but—as he always seems to do—redeemed himself for fantasy owners with two scores.
Now he’s got an easier-than-expected matchup coming up against the Ravens, who will be without Ray Lewis and Lardarius Webb. There is a chance that star DT Haloti Ngata will be on the sidelines as well.
Expect another monster performance against a defense that will be confuddled without their best players.
No. 2—Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings (vs. Arizona)
A.P. has had a solid year on the ground, but is struggling to score TDs. So far, the Vikes RB has racked up 499 yards on 113 carries but found pay dirt just twice—both times back in Week 1.
It’s time for that streak to end against a slumping Cardinals defense that will be on the field for most of Sunday’s contest.
Don’t be surprised to see All Day Peterson lighting up the fantasy scoreboards and finally scoring some much-needed touchdowns.
No. 3—Stevan Ridley, New England Patriots (vs. NYJ)
While it’s tough to predict the New England backfield, you can count on Ridley to absolutely decimate the Jets.
Gang Green is giving up a ridiculous 150.5 yards per game to opposing rushers and has already let in eight touchdowns on the ground. They’ve also been gashed for seven runs of 40-plus yards.
This is a terrible defense that anyone could run over, so a breakout back like Ridley will have an absolute field day.
