2012 NFL Fantasy Football Week 7: Flex Play Rankings / Projections
Colts rookie running back Vick Ballard was a buzz name player in fantasy circles late last week after the news that Donald Brown would be out a few weeks. What looked to be a terrific matchup for Ballard turned into a trap game for the Colts as they came into New York and faced a desperate but determined Jets team.
Some will turn their backs on Ballard as an option this week, but with key running backs on bye weeks, I encourage you to at least consider using him as a flex play.
The Colts are a much better team when playing at home, and I think they are going to be in a high-scoring game against the Browns this week. Expect Ballard to be an active part of the Colts game plan this week, and I like his odds of delivering at least 80 total yards and a score.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Josh Gordon Continues To Make Big Plays
A supplemental pick this summer, Josh Gordon had an uphill battle to see regular playing time as a rookie. Off-the-field problems got Gordon in trouble back in college, so his actual playing time on the field was limited.
Drafted for his physical tools rather than on-field performance, Gordon obviously has impressed the coaching staff enough to be trusted in game action, and he’s giving the Browns the deep threat they have been looking for since Braylon Edwards big season in 2007.
As long as Gordon handles himself like a pro, his future is bright in this league, and he could end up as the top receiver in his rookie class.
That discussion is for another time; for now, Gordon is an interesting flex play start as the Browns face a Colts secondary that can give it big plays.
