2012 Fantasy Football Team Defense Rankings – NFL Week 7
With an exciting sixth week under our belts, here are the LestersLegends 2012 Week 7 fantasy football team defense rankings.
1. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings rank in the top ten in both total defense and scoring defense. They are among the leaders in sacks. They are facing the Cardinals, who rank in the bottom ten in both total offense and scoring offense. They have also allowed the most sacks. Jared Allen could be doing a lot of calf roping on Sunday.

2. San Francisco 49ers
The Niners got destroyed by the Giants. The Seahawks, who struggle both in total yardage and scoring, aren’t that type of offense. Plus, they will be facing an angry team.
3. Green Bay Packers
The Packers have a middle-of-the-road defense, but St. Louis has a below average offense. They struggle to protect the quarterback and the Packers lead the league in sacks. When their offense makes St. Louis’ one-dimensional, they will have a hard time slowing down The Claymaker.
4. Chicago Bears
The Bears lead the league with 14.2 points allowed per game. They are number three in total defense. Detroit can move the ball and put points on the board, but playing in Chicago could be a challenge.
5. New England Patriots
The Jets ran wild on the Colts last week. New England ranks sixth against the run. I expect New England to put points on the board to make the Jets pass. That’s when it gets ugly.
6. Dallas Cowboys
The Boys rank second in total defense. Carolina is in the bottom ten in scoring offense.
7. New York Giants
The Redskins are potent on offense, but the G-Men are flying high after pounding the Niners.
8. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders aren’t great defensively, but they are playing at home against the Jaguars’ league worst (in both total offense and scoring offense) offense.
9. Seattle Seahawks
They have one of the best defenses in the league, but the Niners are one of the most physical teams in the league. I don’t love the match-up this week with the Niners playing at home and coming off that ugly loss.
10. Arizona Cardinals
They have a great defense, but the Vikings are a tough team at home.
