5 Prospects the UFC Must Sign Now

Riley KontekJun 4, 2018

The UFC is home to the best fighters in the world and some of the best prospects in the world.

However, outside of the UFC there are many intriguing prospects that could add great talent to the world's largest promotion. They come from America, Europe and all over the world.

Here are five prospects the UFC should sign now to bolster the roster further.

Darrell Montague

1 of 5

Likely the best flyweight not currently in the UFC, Darrell Montague is a fighter looking to blossom in the spotlight.

The well-rounded 125er owns a victory over fellow flyweight stud Ulysses Gomez. He has refined striking and a knowledgeable submission game in his arsenal that would aid him with his ascent in the division.

He has a fight with Mamoru Yamaguchi in his next bout and a win should earn him a contract.

Jadamba Narantungalag

2 of 5

The UFC wants to expand into China, and, in my calculations, they need to sign some talent that current Chinese MMA fans know and can root for. Jadamba Narantungalag is one of those guys.

Though he is Mongolian, he is a veteran of the Legend Fighting Championship promotion based in China.

With a record of 8-2, the Mongolian lightweight is a good wrestler and submission artist. His competition level has been relatively low, so building him from the bottom up would be a smart move by the UFC.

Bubba Jenkins

3 of 5

Bubba Jenkins was a highly touted MMA prospect when he was still just a collegiate wrestler. Now that he trains with American Top Team and is 3-0 (all finishes), the UFC should jump on him early and try building a star.

Jenkins is a strong lightweight with a decorated wrestling background. The Arizona St. grappler has yet to see the second round in a young career with so much promise.

He has a fight scheduled next month, and should he win, the UFC should snag him up.

Mamed Khalidov

4 of 5

The guy that hardcore MMA fans have had their eyes on for a while is Mamed Khalidov. The Polish MMA fighter has been impressive overseas and has been beating UFC veterans left and right.

He has great power in his hands and has a very good submission game. He is overwhelming to most he has faced and has a good chance at being a star in the UFC.

The UFC has attempted to sign him in the past, but they should continue negotiating with him further.

Gustavo Falciroli

5 of 5

Australian bantamweight Gustavo Falciroli is one of the best lighter weight fighters not currently employed in the UFC. That status should change immediately.

The talented submission fighter has stepped in the cage and ring with names such as Bibiano Fernandes, Richie Vaculik and Bernardo Magalhaes. He is a tough guy to fight and a skilled fighter to face.

He would help give the 135-pound division some depth.
